Yes it is bug.

(Actually the upgrade should be removed and it should be turned into a separate unit similar to assault SI.)

This is an issue that occurs with a lot of slot item weapons; it should be swapped with a weapon change like stormtroopers (and how IS used to work).

I would hazard a guess that this is caused by the models “dropping” their weapons (like how grens can drop their mg42), except they loose the weapon without dropping it on the ground

wow, that seems to be a potentially game breaking bug, especially if it extends to other units as well as Mazianni said... and i've never even noticed it. how long has it been like that?

Does it always happen or does it just bug out from time to time?
So far I thought the reinforcement and weapon allocation was quite stable, but I never noticed it.

Also with the Fallschirmjäger: Does it happen only to the upgraded ones, so that only the 2 additional FGs are affected or is it possible to get a Fallschirmjäger with one or no FG?

I thought the Fallschirmjäger bug was just a UI thing?
