ISU-152 HE shell range should be reduced?

the isu152 being countered isnt the problem (this is hard to do btw as axis dont have cheap 60 range, high pen TDs), its the HE shells that can 1-2 hit and delete squads at ridiculous ranges, at times making it impossible to react to

Does the 60 range, high pen of the SU85 help against the elefant? Or is it possible that you are not meant to counter 260fuel casemate armour with the end that goes boom facing you?

pair of them can but srsly is the su85 the only thing that can counter an elefant? its much eaiser countering an elefant then an isu152 which can delete some of its counters in 1 hit. isu can engage both tanks and inf so please, curb your ignorance elsewhere.

Not at the same time it can't. Try combined arms. And make sure the ones that go splat stay away from the end that goes boom.

ISU has worst accuracy against infantry in the whole game.....

Sure, it can potentially erase something in 1 hit, but why are people constantly ignoring the fact that 10 other hits will miss?

Take into account the sight as well. It's not like it has sight at 60 range all the time.

The models would have to be tightly clumped to have a 1 hit wipe. It's usually two hits at a minimum, and it's reload speed is terrible, as is it's rotation rate so it's not like you have no reaction time. Nerfing the HE range would pretty much remove it from the game.

Easy bots aren't very good at mounting a counter so I believe it.

the 60 range allows it to be so safe behind the lines. It requires very little input and reliably wipes squads. If only my opponents were easy bots...

Anything less would be inconsistent. Every vehicle with the ability to counter ATGs head-on has been nerfed fairly severely: Tiger, KT, Brummbar, Scott (sort of, with the scatter changes), Pershing, etc.

Even in the current balance preview patch, the OKW Tiger lost its "Panzer Commander" upgrade for this exact reason.

Leaving the ISU-152 as the sole exception, while also having it perform much, much better than any of the previously nerfed units doesn't make sense.


At that point you might as well just replace it with a KV-2, which will be much more usefull in every situation.

Just get a random t34 and make the ELe/JT uselese by one click...

who said its meant to counter ATGs? who said its supposed to be a sole exception? where are you pulling this information from? ,if this was an axis unit you'd be shouting it should be standardised but no its in "exception" cuz its in the soviets roster.

thats the thing, no they dont need to be tightly packed to get 1 hitted, ive seen fully spread grens squads get consistently wiped in 1-2 hits
