"a bit lesser AI"?

You're comparing one of the most powerful anti-infantry guns in the game to the Panther's gun, which has worse AoE than a stock medium tank.

He's been trolling since preview 1.2.

But it's just what he was saying before with the factions flipped...

Yes a bit exaggerated if you are on a 1 to 1 gun basis.
But overall Panther has almost too insane AI for a stock premium tank.

It is like having a gren firing on top while the driver fires the main gun. AKA panther can dish 50 range AT damages AND AI mg at the same time. While Pershing needs to switch AI or AT. So thats my point.

If any pershing aoe nerf in 1.3, then it must be compensated with upgradable 50cal or tank commander to give it sight.

I like the sight suggestion. It can see further than others but it needs to dive in because of the lower range gun.

Buffing panther armor also makes it better against everything else, and I don't think it needs that just because the Jackson is too good.

I'm specifically talking about vet3 su85.

The SU85 seems fine in my opinion, being a casemate and all. Vet3 Panthers are much faster, have blitz, and have a turret, I don't see why the panther should be able to bounce shots from an vet3 SU85.

Not really

Mobility Panther vet 3
Speed: 6.6

Mobility SU-85 vet 3
Speed: 6.8

Actually Su-85 is faster...

I never noticed and genuinely suprised. Probably because in practice SU85s are often switching between focus sight and regular sight and are turning a lot to try and keep their guns on the panther.

No problem, it happens to all of us.

I am simply pointing out an inaccuracy.

On topic most of axis armor bonus are rather pointless because allied TDs get better penetration bonuses and the Panther would be stronger with a different bonus.

Why don't you check the stat yourself or at least ask in a polite manner.

I have simply correct a claim made by Aerohank and he took no offense by it.

I remember su-85 acceleration getting nerfed at some point. What are Panther and Su85 acceleration, Vipper, if you don't mind me asking?

I simply asked a question, I'm sure aerohank and others would be interested to see other stats too, as you already chimed in and posted speed.

That's why I asked you. Because you were already talking about stats. As everybody knows the mobility of a unit is not just top speed.

More than happy to replay:

Panther:
Vet 0 Speed: 6.6 Accel: 2.4 Rotate: 30
Vet 3 Speed: 6.6 Accel: 2.6 Rotate: 36

Su-85
Vet 0 Speed: 5.7 Accel: 2.1 Rotate: 22
Vet 3 Speed: 6.8 Accel: 2.5 Rotate: 26.4

source:

A bit out of date but 90% accurate.

My dear SuperHansFan:
1) I was not talking about stats, I was simply correcting a inaccurate claim

2) You have demonstrate hostility towards me in many post borderlining insult in some cases so if you are going ask something from me, I would appreciated if it was done in a polite manner.

3) Finding the specific stat for yourself is actually less work than to actually post the question to me

4) The number of post in this forum would probably be cut in half if people bother to do some fact checking before posting thing that are inaccurate

Please there is no hostility, if what I have said is "hostile" attacking others then I'm not sure what your signature is.

But let's not drag the thread off topic, the panther is the more mobile vehicle. SU85 could use an acceleration increase to be on par with axis TDs considering its lack of turret.

The panther weighed as much as an IS-2 in reality, so it's a bit odd to see them speeding around like spring chickens while allied TDs bar maybe the Jackson are slow as mollasis. FF could use a small acceleration buff too.

Panthers were exceptionally mobile for their size and weight, because they had a big engine and wide tracks. With almost 14 HP/ton they had a higher top speed and probably better off-road performance than the Sherman (Firefly) at 12 HP/ton. And more than the IS-2 which had 13 HP/ton.

So even though historical accuracy is never leading in CoH, there certainly is some historical justification.
