Which guards can permanently snare vehicles until repaired?
I'm very curious about this squad you talk about here.

Haha yea I remember the camoing good at all ranges, slef healing good on the move guards! That WAS exactly like this! Right down to the 110mu for the first snare! Glad you brought that up else it would have been like it never happened!

Yes because it needs to be a 100% same case for a comparison to work.

Guards snare can be great in synergy with AT nades, su85, off map etc.

Why do they have that when the mainlines also have snares?

Could it be that needing to remove the Faust from Falls because Volks have it is a bad argument?

They don’t have to be.

Soviets have a mainline with snare and an elite inf with snare. Why are they allowed that while Falls have to lose their snare?

Guards have a snare for the same reason all at rifle infantry have a snare: without it their at weapon is useless. Don't claim cause when you don't understand its job. Take away button and guards get all of 2 shots off before getting pushed around. Falls shouldn't be engaged with vehicles to begin with as they have incredible AI power and flexibility due to good at all ranges weapons and camo to chose when and where to fight.

"Elite inf" is just a disengenious way to make guards and falls seem similar. They aren't. Not even remotely. And yeah, that does matter. It was literally the second point in my post you originally quoted, which you chose not to respond too

No they don't need to be 100% the same to compare. But they aren't even close

Falls don't have to specifically lose their snare.

Falls have to have a direct nondoctrinal counter at a similar timing.

Elite infantry generally lack snares so that light vehicles can directly counter them.

Guards are long-range troops which are already countered by close range troops and HMGs, so they don't need to be vulnerable to light vehicles.



If Falls lose their snare, they become vulnerable to light vehicles, which can flush them out of their hiding places without getting snared.

If Falls lose their cloak, they become vulnerable to long-range infantry, light vehicles (as they no longer have to close within snare range) and HMGs.

Falls shouldn't lose their cloak. I just think they need total squad DPS tuned down (fewer total FG-42s for sure) and given either more survivability (5-man unit is my shilling piece) and/or utility (retain cloak, retain faust, retain grenades, ambush) to make up for it and make them a less braindead unit than they are now.

If their DPS isn't stupid high at all ranges, they can be outfought in a brute force scenario and are less useful for A-move pushing, but can stay deadly as a camo-ed ambush unit, which I feel is the exact thematic intention of this unit in the first place.

The new patch removed the faust.

That's all that was needed, really. They're OKW Commandos now.

Its feels like every patch, something gets homogenized and get a dps buff.
You wonder why all games is just blobs running around?
