What do you mean with "it didnt do anything"? The shot didnt fire? The shot missed? The squad did not get stunned?

Because the latter would not be a bug

Only the targetted model died. The squad retreated with only 1 man down. So it was useless.

Only the targetted model died. The squad retreated with only 1 man down. So it was useless.


Don't use it for the miniscule chance it burns a nearby model, it's far too expensive for that. Use the incendiary round on the following occassions:

- To shoot a retreating model that absolutely has to be killed. It will have a much higher hit chance.
- To quickly fire 2 rounds after each other. It can be fired almost instantly after a normal round.
- To fire outside the normal range of your Sniper. At vet 3 it gets 60 range versus the usual 50 range.
- To finish off a light vehicle. It will be guaranteed to penetrate and does 50 damage.
- To save your Sniper with the stun if it has to retreat through an enemy squad.
- To save one of your low health squads or vehicles that's fleeing from enemy infantry.

It's a very strong multipurpose tool and definitely not useless.

Some good points, but one is wrong.

We removed the double shoot funtion. Like we did on pershing too. It was too powerful. So it takes some times to get the shot out.

Not true, I've tested it at all vet levels and the incendiary round comes much much faster than waiting for normal reload.

Here's a video as proof, the difference becomes even more apparent at lower vet levels: https://youtu.be/YghERw95zn4

Pershing vet ability does share the same reload.

"Almost instantly after a normal round" was perhaps not the right wording, but my point still stands. The ability pretty much guarantees a wipe for any 2-man squad that gets shot within 30 range of the Ostheer Sniper, even if the squad retreats right after.

wait, does that mean there is a chance that nothing happens even if the squad is clumped? Or that both crits (burning + stun) appear simultaneously at once? Cuz how I understood this ability description is that it's either stun (95%) OR burning (5%) but never both and always one of both.

There's still a way to double shot, although not as well as the old iteration. It is still very quick and rarely misses.
