Two updates:

1) The hype train knows no bounds, I checked today, and I can't actually stop the kickstarter until the funding period is over even if I wanted to.

2) which is good because the dream of a live esports venue finals, is actually rapidly becoming a reality reserve your ticket today.

I'm going to do a full update video tomorrow there's a lot to make people aware of, all good news :)

Hi A_E,

why don´t you offer the t-shirts to boost income of tourney? Give rita a cut for designing and everybody is happy.

Cool idea it's one I had too, I looked into it though, and the margin on sale wouldn't be worth it when considering postage and time and effort etc.

However I might get some new ones printed as gifts to benefactors tell me your t-shirt size in pm ;)

Though there is something which is breeding inside me, plz apologize if it's too off-topic, any mod can feel free to invise this post if he thinks so.

Do you think it is possible to fix maxim spam before GCS starts? I mean that totally serious.

Since I dont wanna spam this particular thread with the discussion (in case there are even people who wanna talk about this), I made a special thread about this

Will you guys make it so that each player that wants to participate should have a very high ladder rank with each faction? This would leave out certain cash grab individuals that only play one or two factions regularly or irregularly , no offense to those though.

I don't think you understand how easy it is for good players to get high spots on the ladder in relatively few games. And why would you want to keep anybody out? You want the best players, and as many of them as possible. Comments like yours just trigger me, sorry.

Using the ladder is an interesting way to get people to play in automatch. I think it's a weird way to quali for a tourney, sinces ladder-ranks can be manipulated pretty easily, but I understand that it's a method of getting people to play ranked. I'm curious to see how that part works out.

No offense to you either but that idea is stupid as hell. Why would the fact that a player only plays two factions be a reason for him not to enter the tourney, if that player thinks that gives better chances to win then let the player do it. Honestly everytime I hear people crying over me and aimstrong (not sure if this comment is towards me and him but Ill assume so) I can't help but think how low some people on this community sometimes are. A tourney is a place for high level play not the favorite streamers to win.

I see your points, fair enough. Yes this was aimed to you and him. I mean no disrespect but you two mostly, and aimstrong especially, show up when there is a tournamenent with money to be made.

You and him are some of the best players I have ever seen, but I can't help but feel sad when insanely active community players have about no chance to win any large price in a large tourney because you two decide it is time to play coh2 again when there is money to be made.

Again, no offense to you two as persons, I don't know you. Yet I know more people in this community think this way, but as usual they don't say it, so I will :)

heyo,

i think everybody is a valid point here. The most fun i will have watching a coh2 games is probably Devm against Barton. Devm Americans are so fun to watch it hurts.

Devm is right, that in a competition only the best should win, and it is not a sign of sportsmanship to make it more difficult for them to win.
On the other hand i understand the critiques, that in crowdfunding events the community has a right to "bitch" a little bit about felt "money grabbing" at least because not all donors are really e-sports fans, some just want to see the game thrive.

I think that A_E and Stormless solved this issue greatly (bigly?), everybody has to qualify over the ladder. Of course Devm will have no problem to get his spot, but he has to work for it and it and as a symbolic gesture it shows some "respect" for the casual playing community imho. Nice side effect we get more good games for casters because the top players have to automatch too and can not just practice in privat.

Best Regards

awa59

PS: Ami has a point too, we will see how it works out. From a pure E-sport point of view it is probably not the smartest way, but i understand this event more like a community-event of Esport and not like a pure Esport event.

PPS: Lets put all Coh2-Streamers, Coh2-Money Grabbers and Coh2-Trolls, plus more casual Coh2-Gamers in a room and see great and very fun games.
