can someone photoshop luvnest's carrot with a dick? that'd be pure gold

Also fairly surprised at the invites, no offense to the invited players of course, but looking at the leaderboards it's kind of surprising to see no Jove or iHitto considering those guys have been in the top 5 with every faction for months now.

Soooooooooooo

I'll probably start my 24 hour stream around 10AM on Friday the 4th. Already gotten approval to take the day off work.

The initial plan was to start Thursday night but then I realized I'd have to wake up at 6 AM Thursday, work all day, then try and stream for 24 hours. By the end I'd have to stay awake for upwards of 36 total hours including a full work day... seemed borderline impossible.

If this would have been vote based, Barton would have voted himself. :snfBarton:

Barton has a point though
There are many players that have been playing the game for a long time now and still do on a daily basis , these guys deserve the invites .

i am a fan of Barton, so i would enjoy to see him win but i have to say he didn´t do too good in ladder oder 1000 $ Tourney or in Romeos tourney. If there would have been 5 invites, he should have been the fifth. Honestly i think Barton does better as an underdog, it suits him better too.

Ami I think you'll find it's "champing at the bit", not "chomping".

Lrn2 English scrub :luvCarrot:

In defense of computerheat, who wrote the hype text:

The idiom is usually written chomping at the bit, and some people consider this spelling wrong. But chomp can also mean to bite or chew noisily (though chomped things are often eaten, while champed things are not), so chomp at the bit means roughly the same as champ at the bit.

In fact, chomp, which began as a variant of champ, is alive in English while the biting-related sense of champ is dead outside this idiom, so it’s no wonder that chomping at the bit is about 20 times as common as champing at the bit on the web. Champing at the bit can sound funny to people who aren’t familiar with the idiom or the obsolete sense of champ, while most English speakers can infer the meaning of chomping at the bit.

We weigh past tournament performance more strongly than we do ladder position. Aimstrong was tied-for-5th in Dr.Wach's $1000 Tourney (COH2's last significant $ event) and so was Barton. After a certain someone declined the 4th invitation, this made for a very tough choice. Both Aimstrong and Barton had won big COH2 tourneys in the past (Aim won the TFN World Championship at launch and Barton won SNF5). In this rare case, ladder activity was actually the tiebreaker. We've seen S1mon active at the top of various 1v1 ladders. Jove and ihitto were on our radar, but neither has had a high enough tournament accomplishment. Ihitto was tied-for-9th in the Dr.Wachs Tourney.

I personally hope that all 3 of these players will qualify via the open tournament. We'll do our best to seed that event as well, considering the same criteria.

Bulletins are OP!

Is this because of some new ones that aren't widely known yet?

We don't think that having to farm for stacking duplicates has any place in competitive play. If there was a "tournament set" that could be enabled for all players, we would use them. Our priority is to ensure a fair playing field, which is already difficult with commanders.

Can Aimstrong elaborate on how he manages to be great at coh2 while also going to the gym regularly? I mean, how does he find time for that, also assuming that he has a job?!

On a more serious note,
I'm super pumped for this. Much excitement.
It's a shame that my triple S/Teller mine price reduction won't be available for this... tellers@41 muni are heavenly <444>3 <444>3

Edit: and that's why bulletins aren't allowed
