I have a question about tactical advance/movement for both stormtroopers and paras:

The stormtrooper one says they gain 150% burst length while moving (implying they don't get it while stationary?)

This is true, the burst length modifier requires them to be moving. They still have 50% accuracy more accuracy while stationary tho (which always applies as long as the ability is active).

And is the paratrooper one the same ability exactly or is there any sort of difference between the bonuses they get?

No difference.

Combined Arms does make a vet 3 Pershing fire faster:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t8XVC6-iJs

Vet 3 Pershing went from 11 shots in 45 seconds to 14 shots.
Vet 3 Sherman with maxed radio net + rof bulletin went from 13 shots in 45 seconds to 18 shots.

Can someone explain this? Has there been a ninja change or have the tools been misinterpreted or did I do something wrong in this test? I do not understand it, cause it does say the bonusses are exclusive in the tools.

I noticed the same in my tests. Looks like the combined arms reload bonus DOES actually stack with veterancy reload bonus.
Maybe the ingame files descriptions are misleading and only the accuracy bonus is exclusive? I dont know

I thought smith fixed combined arms back when he was still working with .org. That was years ago. At least that's what I recall.

It actually makes it a super strong ability if you've got the muni to spare.

Could it be that he also fixed british command vehicle? Coz a vet 2 firefly with command aura bonus has around 4 seconds reload (-50%)

Wow thanks for telling me that one :D I'm totally not going to abuse that. Also I have no idea if he was the one to fix that. Mr. Smith did a lot of good for the game even though many didn't appreciate it at the time.

In the guide it is mentioned only the accuracy bonus of the command tank is exclusive. No idea if that "exclusive" does function however, unlike USF's Combined Arms's exclusives.

No difference.

Wait so is it actually better DPS-wise to be moving with them instead of stationary while the ability is active? Apparently my life is a lie and I've been using this ability wrong for like a year and a half lmao.

Should be, I didn't really notice a difference in burst length in Cheatcommands however. Maybe I just understand the bonus wrong.

But in any case you want to be chasing with SMG-type weapons.

Update: You want to be chasing, it overall does more damage and you have an off chance of blocking a model with your slow walking Stormtroopers (Cheese Rangers Unite).

OK great thanks for the confirmation.

Pretty sure it does, but it's only a 20% bonus and only active while moving. So moving accuracy becomes 60%.

I have not played CoH2 for more than 3 years. I have lost track of the updates, patches, streams, etc. Yet I read every single ability for reasons unknown to me and enjoyed my time.

Thank you!
