Nice Writeup.. but this commander i felt is not for 1v1 against good players its hard to pull off..

I feel this commander performs better at 4v4 or 3v3 where the map is huge giving a good resource income to sustain all those munition heavy upgrades you suggested..

I did use this in 1v1s like a month ago and i absolutely loved the Puma HEAT combo ( i woudl punish those T34 rushes pretty effectively) but as my opponents rank got better i saw the difficulty usin this doctrine which so munition heavy.

I feel this is to reliant on fuel transfer (to get stuff out in a resonable time) to be based around such a munitions heavy commander.

If you ask me, the pz4 battlegroup is almost a trap. Since it a huge fuel and mubitions sink for something that you still can loose relatively easily. The build already gives you a puma and if you have the munitions for abilities the can stop almost anything as long as you use them aggressively like you suggest with pz4

Sice the BO already techs up i would be more inclined to go with the panther with a comander as a safer AT backbone unless I really got my oponent against the wall.

Allow me to paraphrase Voltaire: Neither elite, nor armoured, nor exactly a doctrine. ;) Its one of those commanders that is refreshing and that I wanna like, but if you care about winning, you just can't afford to pick it...

Amen to that.
Exagerating with sturmpio is not the way, neither. They are expensive, expensive tor reinforce, and the reinforcement time is too high. Menwhile, no presence on the battlefield.... Mines with OKW? No, thanks.

Best use for this doctrine is to stahl the game with shreck blobs, raketen and obersoldaten. Building t3 and Puma is again, not a verry good idea. Any fuel drop will delay your battle group so you better go for T2. Anyway, most probably until batle group will be unlocked and you will have the resources to call it, the enemy will have enough tanks and At capabilities to effectively counter you.

The answer for OKW in almost every game is KT. That is why the KT needs to be replaced by the battlegroup and KT become doctrinal. Having this said, battlegroup needs to be buffed a little. It needs to become eather harder to be destroyed or more deadly.

This so much, I want to love it, it had the Panzer IV, and with a new and very pretty model. But the "elite" crews don't even have Vet 1 half the time, and the armour is expensive and worse than Ostheer's version.

I wouldn't mind the KT and Battlegroup switching places (and reduce requirement to 2/3 trucks deployed). It'd give you something to fall back on if the Schwerer is destroyed, rather than a trump card to pull out regardless of winning or losing.

failed miserably in 3v3 and 4v4s played 6 matches varied builds but this is so resource heavy doctrine i couldnt figure out a good way to contribute

THe PZ4s died pretty easily to jacksons and even a sherman can go toe to toe with them..

i did have some nice stuka barrages using signal relay to identify his medtruck ( whihc was a guess but its the last vehicle in teh minimap)

i tried goign JP4s and used HEAT on IS2 had 2 JP4s firing at it yet it manages to escape unlike panthers i cant chase with JP4 as its risky..

the only build that did made sense was usual OKW meta build for 3v3s and 4v4s rush to King tiger with 4 volks shrecks 2 or 3 obers 1 or 2 raketns and upgrade KT with commander.. KT doesnt need HEAT as i dint have hard time penning any armor.

It has a small chance of bouncing off IS-2 armour though. My friend was so happy because his IS-2 survived.

the best feature of this doctrine for 3v3 or 4v4 vs US is the signal relay + stuka combo to wipe his infy healing at med truck..

You guys know you see the major retreatpoint antenna thing for ultimate retreat point trolling, right? What do you need the signal relay for again?

No offense to the writer of the guide, but I feel like this is almost a custom-written guide on how not to win as OKW.

I think I can offer some tips on using this commander, and it requires fairly unconventional play (for OKW).

For me, tecking up is a waste. You want to save fuel for two sets of P4s ASAP.

The P4s main advantage is having much better AI than puma/panther while still maintaining some AT. I would argue that late game this allows you to replace Obers AI power with these tanks.

So with that in mind, I only build a medic truck. You can grab an early JP4 which will own light vehicles on the field at that point and fend off early mediums. Dont over extend it and I often get a rakketen in building as flank protection for your tank destroyer to fall back to.

Biggest weakness is early AI (especially no MG34). So double Spio essential and probably one or two kubel. You can afford the extra one due to not tecking, and having 2 pio to repair.

You can also afford the field gun if it suits the map. This will help a lot if they push hard on your medic truck if you keep the gun back a bit. The rest volks obviously.

The strength is the call in, same as with guards motor. It is taken advantage of most by not teching and hence affording more tanks. The JP4 will bolstrr your AT a lot and p4s can protect its flanks.

I struggle to see the advantage of not teching like soviets, unlike them your tier 3/4 structure doesn't cost 120 fuel and T4 is pretty important for Obers unless you want to drown in a sea of rifleman, paras and shocks from which there is no escape (especially without MG's or falls).

You also deny yourself of one of the few OKW breaks early game which is the flak truck locking down your fuel/cut off until the opponent can bring up a supported ZiS or Armour.

The P4's in this doctrine are also over priced when you look at the mirrored call in for E8's and 85's that both come in great doctrines respectively (Guards motor and Rifle Company) that are arguably two of the strongest in the game.

Basically I keep this commander in my load out if I need a instant double tank call in to rush a single sherman/T-34 but apart from that it hardly gets any use. If this doctrine had an infantry call-in to replace obers it might be somewhat usable, Sturms really struggle post nerf and even against rifleman/cons they drop like flies.

Youl have to PM dasdoom and see if he wants to update it. The only thing I could "update' is the fact that there is a sturmtiger now. The other stuff may be too out of date to recover without rewriting it as a whole.

Yes, the double panzer 4 call-in was changed for Sturmtiger. Now the doctrine features Sturmtiger and you can buy single panzer 4 with armor skirts in Schwere HQ.

Also most of OKW teching is different now (as well as map changes), so I do not think this guide will give you much.

For example: Volkgrenadiers - Panzerschrecks -> Stgs
Battlegruppe -> Flaktrack; Mechanizes -> Luchs; Schwere HQ -> JP4 and P4
