I think guards are already equipped with the anti-tank guns but can be equipped with a light machine gun instead.

Guards Rifle Infantry (Doctrinal, replaces Penal) – Long-range anti-vehicle infantry with armor penetrating PTRS guns for high damage against light and medium vehicles. Can be upgraded with LMG for anti-infantry capabilities.

Penal Battalions actually have the same durability as a conscript squad. They do however have better guns ( semi-automatic SVTs) and thus do more damage.

you forgot to mention that T-70 can use recon mode, disabling it's main gun but highly increasing it's sight range
I'll fix that and add in its auto-repair.

The ability that grants line of sight to a nearby area is a flare which is shot into the sky and has it's own mini parachute.

Where "highly" is only +50% more. The German spotting scopes grant +100% sight range while stationary. (Robotnikthingy told me on th offical forums).

So - is this the right way to do things? If so, it kind of limits your commander choice initially, as 2 out of the 3 have guards.

Edit - just thinking Ami, would it be worth bracketing which Tier each building is considered to be? Just as an aide-memoire for folk (i.e. me) who aren't so involved with general strat discussion.
