Thank you for posting the game Minnie, well played to everyone. Thanks for a fantastic game to close out season 3 of RnP. You guys have anymore great games do not hesitate to pm me or send it to rpgrogers@gmail.com. Cheers.
Truly appreciate it, thanks for the effort! Totally amuzing commentary as always .
So adrenaline, much tense!
We had met these guys (and lost) two games prior to this. Third time's a charm, eh?
Commanders used:
Mechanized Support
Jaeger Armor
Guard Motor
Shockrifle
Almost constant action, hard to keep track on everything. Some moments are especially noteworthy:
06:28 rifle nade wipes entire con squad at western VP. Apparently I had upset the RNG gods.
38:58 Stug E almost destroyed by crashing plane.
42:20 Soviet AT gun kills MG42 (with a normal AP round). Looks a bit funny...
44:39/44:43 trading kills back and forth on slippery ice.
One thing that truly bugs me about this game is abusive strats such as going maxim spam, sniper spam etc. Support units that are supposed to support infantry, not the other way around. Just attack move, and there you go, they can suddenly hold their own without much effort. Same goes for BS ISU of course (except attack moving obviously). It's a god damn assault gun, not a tank (read this imagining Imperial Danes voice). Game is completely broken because of this and with an expansion coming out next month one can't really expect a patch anywhere soon fixing this crap.
So, this is a situation I often myself in. Dominating the game for quite some time but unable to seal the deal. Backteching came too late and T3 might have been a bad call. For a while I was quite certain he was gonna drop the game concidering the map control I had.
Anyways, I was quite surprised of the counter he pulled out of his sleeve and I feel noobish for not managing it. ;(
The only way to deal with heavy soviet sniper strats (in 2v2) is to sacrifice at least three goats before playing. The RNG gods can be a bit greedy, but that's what it usually takes. Don't bother trying to out-micro a player that goes for TWO soviet sniper teams, just pray.
Some people might say there is no evidence for RNG in this game and that taking down a skilled players sniper takes...well, skills, but it is of absolute importance that you don't listen to them. All you have to do is pray. And sacrifice goats. And yeah, don't forget to money in the box that says "elite troops"! God bless you all.
LimaOscarMike: My laptop can't even run COH3. Should I get them on my Series X or is it dead yet? Last Saturday, 05:10 AM
Rosbone: One of my last major gripes about Coh3. Price is still too high I feel for growth. But progress is always good. Last Saturday, 04:43 AM
Rosbone: I am not 100% sure but I think Relic actually fixed up the skirmish menus a little last patch. If so, thank you and keep it coming. Last Saturday, 04:39 AM
Lady Xenarra: Does anyone else think that USF needs buffs? It feels like they’re on life support sometimes 01 Apr 2025, 02:36 AM
Willy Pete: @Rosbone Ahh I missed that memo. I still think its a bad decision though. Adds frustration for players and isnt gonna make them that much money 27 Mar 2025, 15:46 PM
Rosbone: It is also good they left it free until after the free to play weekend. Points for that. 27 Mar 2025, 09:34 AM
Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals. 27 Mar 2025, 09:32 AM
Rosbone: To be fair, it was a thank you to early fans right? They said it was not free for long and it would become a pay DLC at some point. 27 Mar 2025, 09:30 AM
