More build time is the simplest solution to me. Give the rifles/cons time to get on the field in numbers to actually flank it. And a 2 kubel start would put more of a strain on okw's capping if they took a while to build.
As it stands, my first con/rifle frequently finds a kubel waiting for it like a bully on the way home from school. |
Gotta spot for colonel jackson, he don't see too well. All of 'Murica's other eagle eyed options are on wheels, and they tend to die in the late game. Pathfinders have the almighty retreat button. So get one instead of rifle squad #4. They've saved me from walking in to mg's and other nastiness countless times.
The I&R ones i don't get, since without the scoped rifles i can't see how they'd carry their weight. |
Anybody else want an option for the command panel on the left instead of the right? The hotkeys are on the left of the keyboard, my brain thinks the panel should be on the left too. It'd make gridkeys easier (for me at least). |
Yes. If I've been playing too much I totally will. It's wierd. |
It's 245 fuel after battle phase 2 just to get a panther. If you want to stay in the game, it's probably going to behoove you to just get some mediums and PAKs out and wait for Tigger.
Course if yer in a commander that can't make big cats, then tier 4 is worth every ounce of fuel. Just why would you play those? (luftwaffe support/ostruppen hilarity aside) |
When WF came out I frequently saw 50% searching as allies for about two weeks. Then it went back to the majority searching as axis.
Yes, 80% searching as axis does not equate to 80% only playing axis. However, since I've never seen 80% searching as allies, and see 70 or higher searching as axis almost every time I log on (coupla times a week, random times a day, since closed beta), it's not too much of a logical leap to say that the axis are the player base's favorite as a whole. |
Yeah they've got SVT's. They're not PPSh quality at point blank, but they hurt a fair bit more than conscripts do up close. They might actually be worse than cons at long range. The gun uses the "carbine" weapon profile. |
I enjoyed the days when the team weapon was the center of the game. Felt more authentic. |
Take of that +25% received accuracy for weapon crews so they don't get steamrolled so fast.
Then we can just kill blobs with MG's and mortars, as the Good Lord intended.
Also OKW wire is wonderful and more people should use it. Myself included. |
It's not even outta-the-box to make a faction without serious heavy armor. The brits in CoH1 didn't bring anything bigger than a firefly (crappy Churchill doctrine aside). You don't have to have late game big tanks, just things capable of killing 'em.
Pretty sure the japs had AT guns.
Just slap the germans magical "fuel-to-munis" ability into some of the japanese doctrines, or even the mythical "fuel-to-manpower" that we may or may not be getting in a commie doctrine someday.
Or hell, a fuel based version of those abilities that replace losses.
Or even go full British and have some emplacements with fuel costs.
An infantry focused faction is not the end of the world. It's just a faction that affe apparently wouldn't like to play.
