It's not canister's fault. It's all about clumped infantry.
Once you have enough space between model, canister won't do anything - unless you are trying to get behind very small cover = clumped models = wipe. |
Ask 10 Allies (only / biased) players on this forum, 10 of 10 would tell you, para is NOT elite infantry. lol Although they are Obers in US uniform.
Come in... obers are way better. Paras have only similar dps but obers have 0,75 dps on move while paras have 0,25 not to mention insane vet.
I remember game when my obers faced 2x Paras (one squad with LMG, one without upgrade) and my obers lost 2 models while my enemy had to retreat both squads. |
Relic said next patch will be balance patch...
Few months ago they said that they were not focusing on balance but its about to changes.
Few months later - still no sign of balance patch. |
How is the Luchs performance related to the M8 canister shot? Does the Luchs counter the canister ability? How does the Ostheer counter the canister without access to the Luchs? Did Relic put out some design mission statement that states these to units should be comparable? If the units were mirrors of each other, how would you feel about the Luchs with a canister?
Back on topic - I don't like the ability as is; there's no warning to it (no animation or sound). I wish the canister "shot" was a ability with a time duration. Where the output per shot was greater than normal, but didn't one shot squads. Similar in principle to the AP rounds on a MG.
You did not get my point.
Luchs is the only ligh vehicle which is able to get over 40kills.
Greyhound is able to do the same thing but only when spends tons of ammo.
So Greyhound, 50ammo ability, more fragile, less hp is OP byt Luchs is not? |
It's the only allied light vehicle which can be compared to Luchs in terms of effectiveness yet still needs tons of ammo to kill as many model as Luchs so...
Nerf canister shot only if luchs will be nefred.
Still useless vs schreck blob. |
I'm a big fan of classic RTS games with little micro (strategy depends on types of units and way to attack, instead of high APM, hiding behind covers, RNG etc.).
Best RTS every for me was Cossack 1. Gardening mirror design, huge armies, many resources, no veterancy, upgrades. Just awesome.
Same for Warlord Battlecry III. Resources, very similar factions design, no covers, veterancy.
Or Battle for middle earth II.
It's only about units you make, choosing right direction. No RNG, no nothing, just math.
Those 3 RTS games are/were best in my opinion and Grey Goo is trying to do something similar, although I don't like units design. They look very similar, especially humans race... |
It's not only Kholodny.
Cut offs on some maps are really painful and unfair.
Cut off for south spawn on Road to Kharkov - completly empty of anything while north spawn has building and stone walls.
Same for Kholodny, south spawn has really bad cut off when com[are to north. |
We don't need anymore elite US infantry. Americans already have Paratroopers with LMG's that outclass any other unit; adding US Marines would give them two elite anti-infantry units and as a result the balance will be distorted.
Obers, Panzerfusi, Falsch, Jaeger. |
I can understand buffs like accuracy, throwing further grenades and something like that but recived accuracy? What the hell is that?! Are they watching Matrix or what? It should be counted only behind cover or inside buildings. Right now vetted volks or obers have better survability than shocks or at least similar but okw blob running through open Space, few squads shooting at them and amazing feature "none bullet can touch me" is really idiotic. |
You need to pay more attention
I ve never seend my units disappearing in a seconds so...
It is something that you must noitce, its hard to not see this |
