Full OKW tech: 1200MP 240F (-10F starting).
Oh, you may add 350MP 50F to USF for AA HT, becasue you know, OKW has free AA. |
Okw doesn't spend any less manpower on teching than anyone else, if Anything USF spends the least manpower. And will actually pay more than any other faction in terms of manpower.
Volks reinforce for 25. They are no longer "cheap"
Sws trucks x3 = 300 mp 45 fuel
Battlegroup headquarters 200 manpower 25 fuel
Flacktruck 200 mp 105 fuel
Mechanized 200 mp 50 fuel.
-10 starting fuel
= 900 mp 225 fuel
Most people buy the forward reinforcement point so +300
1200 mp 225 fuel
Some people don't go mechanized.
So either 1200 mp 225 fuel or 1000 mp 175 fuel.
Bitching about okw not having sidetech is stupid if you don't see USF getting free squads and free retreat point as the same exact thing. Where is ostheer and soviet freebies?? Okw still pays more per tank than almost any other faction.
Weapon racks allowing you to dual equip and putting zookas on rear ech you think should honestly be free or something?
Riflemen get grenades and smoke grenades. Okw doesn't even get grenades. Just shitty bundle grenades on obers. And molotov clone incendiary nades on volks that don't do any damage except to get somone out of a house.
Add okw side tech? Ok then don't give USF free squads with weapon upgrades for teching that requires no building hands free teching and only costs 200 mp.
The fanboism is strong with this one.
Free stuff for usf: lieutenant, cpt, frp.
Free stuff for OKW: healing, repairs, aa, cut off defense, nades, schrecks.

SP cannot have schrecks.
They have too many different abilities.
Wiring, detecting mines, plantng mines etc.
Giving them schrecks is out of qustion.
The only units which can get schrecks are obers.
They would have 2 different upgrades for 110 ammo.
1 - double schrecks.
2 - LMG 34. |

They don't need overhaul.
I think, they need just thing or two.
I mean, there is a time during a game, when you have MP but in fact you don't have anything to purchase.
3IS + Vickers or 2 IS + Bren + Vickers and now you are getting Platoon. But what's next? AT-gun to deny light vehicles and what? AEC is useless, Bofors is situational and it's dying to ISG/GrW, Mortar Pit is useless vs OKW and it's risky vs OST, because it you lose the ground, you gonna lose 400MP.
This leads to only 1 thing. You need to rely on Snipers.
Other factions have many options.
OST: After initial Grens + HMG you can get 222, mortar, sniper, PzGrens, HT and Pak.
OKW: You have really nice options. Volks and Kubel, maybe 2 SP, raketen, next you get ISGs or maybe 251/17 or Luchs/Puma/Stuka.
USF: After 3 RF you get Lt/Cpt and plenty of options. M20/AA/50cal or Pack/Tickle Gun/Stuart.
SU: They have so many options that you will alwasy find something.
Point is, all factions (except Brits) have tools between early-late game to use efficiently, to adapt to situation.
Brits dont. Platoon post is just for 6 pounder and Sniper. So if you don't need a sniper you end up with MP float which you cannot use. Platoon is huge, black hole where you don't get tools you need. |
That was the point of my post. How can okw build this many units in a game, reinforce losses, build all 3 tiers, a panther and a ostwind
I would like to see ost try and achieve such a feat.
Tbh I wish I had been able to watch replay instead of just relying on end of game stats.
It's just a fault of:
- no side-upgrades.
- vet 5.
- Schrecks on cheap main line infantry.
- Forward retreat point.
- Free healing.
- Free cut off/fuel defense.
- Not that big bleed.
- Cheap teching. |
