Thread: Double maxim spam.12 Mar 2016, 11:37 AM when will you people learn that you don't fix spam by nerfing the unit in question. You buff the counters to said unit or buff the faction of said unit to pick up the slack. If something in a faction is "overperforming" then something else in the faction is under performing. Nerfing maxims will just punish people who use them nornally (i.e not spamming) In: COH2 Balance

Thread: CieZ's State of CoH 2 - November 1, 20152 Nov 2015, 17:49 PM The funny thing about this whole vehicle flamers do too much damage to AT is that it points out obvious axis bias. i remember back in the day prior to western fronts soviets would frequently get their zis decrewed from tanks by German tigers ostwinds etc. zis guns had(have) inconsistent penetration and were very poor at doing their job yet the line was that Germans have better tanks late game so deal with it. Now that German AT gets hard countered by flame vehicles, the tears flow. Maybe, just maybe, pak spam and rakketen spam should be punished. maybe you should have tanks or handheld at to support your at guns instead of building 3 paks and waiting out for tigers/ heavies. Thread: Jagdpanzer IV Penetration20 Oct 2015, 15:20 PM OP. Go to the coh2 workshop and try some of those realism mods that some authors have put up. You will soon see that coh2 is not about realism from it's core design point. Which is why those mods arent very good. it's designed to mainly focus on infantry supported cqc fights, hence the reason why you can't zoom out too much. The changes you suggest may seem localised to you but it also creates a precedent where you have to answer for all the other inconsistencies with the game's units. Okw vehicles are tricky to balance since they cost a lot and aren't always the best out of the gate but compensate with excellent vet if you can get it. Jp4 is one of the very few okw units that hasnt been buffed/nerfed since okw came out. It is the embodiment of okw design before things got all muddled up with subsequent patches.solid performing unit that becomes uber great with vet. Personally,i would nerf its armour value since i find it bs that mediums deflect from the front at close range. Otherwise i'm perfectly fine with how it is. In: COH2 Balance
