Got a fix from Sega support incase anyone experiences the same problem:
Please try the following:
- Completely exit from the Steam client.
- Go to C:\Program Files\Steam (or the Steam directory that was specified during installation).
- Locate ClientRegistry.blob and rename this file to ClientRegistryOld.blob.
- Restart Steam to allow the file to be recreated.
Once that's done, start steam again and reverify your game cache as shown here:
1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the ‘VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAMECACHE…’ button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
6. We recommend verifying your cache twice to make sure all files are fully downloaded |
I had similar problem like this, it was related to the power supply.
I take it you got a new PSU?
Same problem. Asked help from sega, couldn't help.
Did you eventually find a fix? It's weird because I was able to play it fine for the first few weeks and then it randomly started happening. I don't have this problem on any other games.

CPU - Intel i5 4690K @ 3.5ghz
RAM - 8GB Coirsair Vengeance thingy
Motherboard - ASUS Z97-P
GPU - Radeon R9 390
Above are the specifications of my computer that are relevant to running COH2. As of late I have been constantly getting a black screen in every single game I play. It can happen anywhere between 2 minutes in to 20 minutes in. I can still hear the sounds of the units my screen just goes completely black and if I attempt to tab out and tab back in the game crashes and I occasionally get a Bug Splat. I've tried deleting my GPU drivers and reinstalling them, reinstalling the game, verifying the cache and running it in compatibility mode. All of the aforementioned attempts at fixing the problem have failed.
I'd appreciate any help anyone could offer as I've completely lost at this point. I haven't experienced any problems like this on any other games nor did I ever experience these problems on my old PC. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I was initially able to play Coh2 without any problems when I got my new PC, it started happening randomly. |

After playing with it a few times and against it since the patch it's evident that they over nerfed the KT. To be fair it didn't need a nerf in the first place, any competent player could take out a KT pre-patch using combined arms. I'm actually quite happy if I see my opponent get a KT out now days, double Jacksons and its dedddddddddddddd |
It's a nice doctrine if you're focusing on a particular point eg holding your fuel. I tend to use it from time to time and proper use of the Pak allows you to bank for a KT which is always nice. |
-New faction, obviously they are brits -> free money
-coh2.org has ladders, don't see a point to put them into CoH2 (doubt its hard anywayz)
-there's in game store when you click shift+tab
Pretty much sums it up. If they were so excited why couldn't they just confirm it was the British? Or better yet give the WFA some new commanders for the time being. |
Should have went for the KT instead of the Stuka, oh well. ;( |
There is also this. We don't need crazy overpowered city destroyers to keep Urban Defense in check.
I still want the V1 from Coh1 back. |
Depends on your usage. I easily reach peaks of ~17 GB.
Not that it matters, OPs PC has only 2/4 slots in use, for now 8 GB are enough, and in just in case cheap upgrading is easily possible.
During gaming? Or is that while you're rendering? |
