General Information


Thread: Artillery: Soviet 152mm, Ostheer 105mm19 Dec 2014, 01:14 AM I like Terror. My lategame build is T4 for Su-85, I call-in the Kv-8 and build a howi. Fun as hell. The only problem with only having the Kv-8 as a call-in is those volksblobs. The Su-85 can take on a Kt, but the Kv-8 has problems with the volks. If you ever get tired of T85s or Is-2s this is a fun build. In: COH2 Balance

LMG Grens can faust KV-8, but that just slows it and Pak40 fires more slowly now and the crew doesn't get cover from its shield so KV-8 can roll up and burn it out. While a buff to KV-8 would make it decent against OKW, it has a good chance of making it OP versus Ostheer. Dont forget that Ostheer has tanks before Tiger. In the current meta it could be strong between 9 and 11 cps against ostheer. But in reality, besides the meta, Ostheer can produce tanks to counter it. In: COH2 Balance

You have to be careful now to not overextend it, but if it is in the correct position at the right time it can really push Axis around. KV8 just needs a lot more vision support than it used to, which is a good thing. How do you mean, push around? It isnt great at pushing. I tried to push with it but its so slow that the shrecks will take it down before it can push. This whole thread has been a complete failure as I havent got any advice yet how to use this unit. Thread: Relics introduction of open beta is a failure15 Dec 2014, 16:14 PM My beta is sitting on my comp doing nothing. It just sits there. Its alright thats its there, I dont mind. But there is a problem when what could be a tool is not being used. Players discuss, and then players discuss, lets say the call-ins in this game, but the result in the end is nothing as the discussion only refers to abstracts. If there is gonna a be change to the call-ins, why not let the players try out some diffrent solutions? With the beta players could be able to try if call-ins tied to teching is a good alternativ or if some other solution is better. Why do the job when you can have someone else do it for you? If I go t3 as soviet just one Tiger is enough to win the game 8 out of 10. This forces me to go with my own call-ins. I hate call-ins and really like the T-70 and the Su-85. Thread: KV-8 Post-WFA14 Dec 2014, 09:00 AM As I have been playing soviets for a while I found a tank thats Called KV-8. It comes in at least three commaders. Ive never seen anyone use it som I am curious to know what it does. Its slow but quite sturdy and some flames comes out of its front. I found out that these flames are good against buildings but not against infantry. A blob of volks tears it apart in some seconds so I am very careful with it. Is it a unit that you should use only if the opponent have gone bunker-spam?
