It puts more importance on positioning rather than cheese grenade wipes. Relic even posted short clips explaining gameplay benefits of high lethality years ago. There was this one clip showing how PGs can't just frontally assault and roflstomp 2 cons, but they still could if they went by cover. In: COH2 Balance

I am well aware, that i need snare atgs or units of some sort to cover up my retreat. The point in these games were, that the greyhound was called in the moment i got the atg, solely with the purpose of denying that. Thread: World changing and Coh history25 Apr 2020, 18:06 PM I cringe up to this day, remembering 1st 6 month axis bois complaining that HMG42 was a bad unit, because if soviets captured it, it was GG for ost, because it would just instapin your whole army, as long as it was within firing cone. Or how pin planes would pin retreating units, cancel the retreat and deal more damage then any of the modern skill planes. In: Lobby

The unit doesn't teleport nor it uses a drop pod deployment. You're not telling the full story here. In fact, without a replay and with informations you've provided, there was no "panic" calling of anything and the unit was already on the field and very close to the action. In: COH2 Balance

One could say, it was a misplay and i was too greedy. But it is just unrewarding. Imo, this kind of habit led to the cancer, that mobile defence was. What?! i get chased by a t70? Better call in a Puma to ruin this tanks day. I see many simmilarities here, even though a puma is more viable through the game. Nonetheless Panic button abilitys shouldnt have a place in this game How is it any different then you running up against commandos or thompson paras with ability turned on on your retreat? Where were you for that situation to happen? His base sector? In: COH2 Balance

The vicious circle is caused by five factions, asymmetrical balance and unreasonable fanboys. If it was up to the fanboys REEEE, we'd have unstoppable axis factions and immortal, 70 range tigers as, since both sides have fanboys, the ones worshiping Meinstein are much louder. The first two are accurate tho. People also compare factions incorrectly, they compare unit X to unit Y of another faction, completely ignoring all the other units, upgrades, unit differences and accessibility, economy and timings within the two factions. Grens will never stand up to any other infantry then conscripts and tanks will always kill them, high time starting to accept that. Ost also isn't a holy grail of balance, it was for a brief time about 6 years ago, but it is a past long forgotten. In: COH2 Balance

Stormjäger The fact you can put a couple mg42s on a corridor map and a 251 does not make Grenadiers broken. I never heard an argument by the balance team that they wouldn’t buff riflemen because you can get an ambulance early and have it forward to heal and reinforce, or that they wouldn’t buff Cons because the M5 reinforcing would be OP. Not to mention mg42s in 4v4 can be countered by the plethora of indirect fire available to the allies. Where was this fear of teamgames breaking when Tommies got buffed? All in all a Grenadier buff doesn’t break anything the same way Tommy and Riflemen buffs didn’t break teamgames. Well, M5 isn't exactly early game unit and ambulance doesn't allow you to reinforce in combat, its also not exactly mobile or durable. In: COH2 Balance

You get the shield icon over the inf but idk if the bonus applies (or how big the bonus is). But if the planes not triggering in the areas you did not cap is a bug that bug is here for a long time. Report it in a bug thread and see what happens. ZiS-3 bug was a well known bug and we've had it for years up until last patch(tho it was a solution problem rather then not noticing the bug). Bugs on abilities that aren't really used in meta strats are often overseen as they don't do anything to harm competitive scene. In: Lobby
