Volksgrens have been nerfed while Rifles win on mid, short and even if rushing through negative cover. You'd played alpha, you'd knew volks got buffed. Volks are not meant to go toe to toe with rifles, no, that doesn't mean they are bad. Use Kubels or sturmpios to support them, then you'll win engagements. USF have most expensive and best core infantry and volkspam works only against soviets, deal with it. In: COH2 Balance

I'd say its exactly for that reason. For a price of core unit you get a completely ineffective, squishy squad whos usefulness depends in 100% on weapon RNG, which decides if you'll get useful unit(AI partisans are all equally horrible since weapon profile changed, before that at least ppsh ones could kill stuff) or will waste mp for crippled CE squad. The commanders are linked to what faction you are using. As much as I hate these kind of things, in this particular case I do advise everyone who can't play all the time and actually have other things to do, to do this. Maybe then relic will rethink their commander policy and adjust war spoils system somehow or let us buy them. Its most important and most meaningful content for multiplayer and we are down to "who got more time and luck" to get them. In: Lobby
