They win long range, so Volks have to close distance, but while advancing you are likely to lose models cause volks have omegabad rec acc. There is no way that volks win over 7man cons. But they dont have to. There are Obers and the 7man upgrade comse way later than Stgs so Volks have a window of pportunity there. Cons are designed to carry you through the whole game. Volks are designed with obers supporting them from mid game onwards. Cons start weak and become strong. Volks start strong, peak in early mid game(light vehicle phase) and fall off late game. And both work fine and as intended. Cons will be slightly weaker post patch, but the overall dynamic between mainlines isn't going to change. In: COH2 Balance

I'm saying that before, you were not forced to tech because you could either win with low tier units, light vehicles and/or then transition to call in vehicles. Teching becomes mandatory once you nerf those winning conditions. For people who do not know what it means, its all the "cheeze" and "op crutch" everyone was so happy to see removed from early and early-mid game that allowed wins before med tank phase. In the aftermath of these changes over the years, nothing else remains but rush to end tech as that is the only thing that can reliably seal the game anymore. In: Lobby

We cant lets say compare ost free unlocks to UKF\USF free stuff. Aswell as we cant compare soviet free stuff to OKW free stuff. All that matters at the end of the day - how fast factions can reach their first tank. Right now, if we consider realistic play, with all usuall side grades, free grades, weapon upgrades and so on. All the faction more or less have fair timing in terms of how fast they can have\get their armor and armor counters. I think this is what matters the most. Actually, if we consider side unlocks that are mandatory meta, ost will hands down get med earliest, its not even funny how much faster if they get that AEC/Stuart/T-70 on a teller early, preventing them from losing map control in early mid game. "Randomness" I'm quite positive what you have on mind is intended and called asymmetric balance. Different factions have different things that work in different way when it comes to recon and outside of okw spec ops flares, not a single one oversteps its usefulness or value. In: COH2 Balance

I don't really like flares in general, but I was indeed talking specifics. "Allied factions" is an important distinction, incidentally, due to the fact teamgames exist. This is why SpecOps flares are even an issue. Because of teamgames. The OKW SpecOps player needs another player to make Flares truly an issue, he can't do that much of note with them himself, other than Stukaing. You're being a little disingenuous here. Then in the future, read the discussion from the start, so you don't randomly chime in with irrelevant stuff. In: COH2 Balance
