It could easily turn out to be underwhelming and almost never used if it kinda sucks as a unit. Then why having it in the first place? Why having a unit that performs worse then core units? M-42? Irregulars? ML-20 and leIH? Penals? 222? Partisans? DSHK? KV-2? We do NOT need that list to expand. And if it was stronger then core, then we wouldn't see another doc ever picked, pretty much like soviets are pidgeon holed into shock rifle or guard motor in general-that is NOT healthy design. And as you can see for yourself, the best and only option here is NOT to have it. In: Lobby

Because they play axis and were spoiled with all the long range effective weapons to the point where if they see a unit that actually isn't 100% effective from maximum possible range they are like "WHAAAAAT?" They also don't die in 1 shot (normally) to AT guns and Tanks. They seem to die pretty often to single nade. Lets not mention stuka. The Pwerf should just operate at the same range as the Stuka and Kat, and both the Pwerf and Kat should have 240 health as well as be somewhat proof to small arms fire (but not totally, the stuka isn't totally). Conscripts also should operate at the same range as grens, they are same 240mp after all, right? And pwerfer have more armor then katy as well as much better mobility(inb4 you mention survivability difference of grens and cons). Not to mention that katy is BAD from max range, you will hit nothing at max range without using precision strike, you use it only if you don't have another choice, otherwise its always better to get as close as possible, thats not really any different to pwerfer. It's funny how some people say that Pwerfer should not be used at max range and should get close to do it's job... as an artillery piece. So are mortars and the closer you put them, the more effective they are. Scatter you know, if you want to hit things reliably, you need to be in certain distance to do so. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Cons sniping grens25 Mar 2015, 13:01 PM Upgrading units and supporting them with others is the way intended by faction design to play as ost. Not really sure what you're on about here. If the factions intended paystyle doesn't suits you, then change for army that have more independent troops, ost is supposed to work at least in pairs of units, sov USF and OKW have more independent infantry in early game.
