Many People give "fury" 10/10 stars and praising it for its "realism". Many People there say its the "most realistic WW2 movie" ever.......
I'm pretty sure that's because of how brutal it is. And also the Tiger scene was relatively realistic in that only 1 of the Shermans survives the engagement and basically wins because it was lucky and had an experienced crew. The last scene was really stupid though, but it shows how shitty war is pretty well. |
Some of the Jagdtigers had very good Crews even in the end of the war.
Jagdtiger Combat history:

Didn't mean to say all German tank crews in 1945 were relatively poorly trained and unexperienced, just that it was more common at that point. |
Poorly trained doesn´t mean those tank crews didn´t passed any tactical basic training as some people pointed out at this thread to explain the Tiger crews behaviour in Fury.
Off topic: Regarding Otto Carius and Jagdtigers
Carius meant his statement in general, when he said he lost more Jagdtiger to the poor education than to Allied guns. There was a lack of spare parts, crude tech, of fuel, crews that were not able to repair their vehicles and the problem of using a new unprooved weapon system at the fronts. From Feb´44 to May´45 only 88 Jagdtigers (including prototypes) have been built. That were 5 vehicles per month.
Btw. German Panzerjägertruppen were an own formation and got a different education in tactics than German Panzertruppen due to their special task field.
Fair enough, but the M4A3E8 crew was probably way more experienced than the Tiger crew. Brad Pitt's character had been in combat since Operation Torch. At least I hope it was intended that the Tiger crew was relatively unexperienced :/ |
It is very funny how people in this thread are arguing that the German Tiger Tank Crew must be noobies, novices, untrained or whatever to explain their tactical behavior in the movie.
In every tank training facility of the war, no matter if german, british, american, soviet, japanese, late war, early war, on axis side or on allied side new tank crews were introduced to their vehicle and got a tactical basic training throughout the war before joining combat units at the front.
Fury is still a hollywood movie claiming artistic freedom not historical accuracy. So keep in mind there are scenes which differ from historical facts supporting the movies dramatic art. That tiger scene is only one of them.
Not really, in his book Otto Carius says that pretty much all of his Jagdtiger company crewmembers were very poorly trained and lost more Jagdtigers to their poor training than he did to Allied guns IIRC.
Even so, the M4A3E8 crew was very very experienced, an unexperienced Tiger crew would've been doomed. |
stoped reading
What does this have to do with what he's proposing? |
Not officially, but unofficially swastika flags were not uncommon. Crew painted swastikas also appeared from time-to-time. Swastika flags or paint was also used on the top of the turret for Luftwaffe identification.
Swastikas were used as identification early in the war, but after a while they stopped using it because it was too visible to enemy aircraft. I haven't seen that many tanks with swastika flags or swastikas painted on them either. But frontline troops did not have any (really obvious) swastikas on their uniforms. The last swastikas on Wehrmacht troops were a helmet decal with a German eagle, which was removed in 1943, and the breast (arm for the Waffen SS) eagle, which in an RTS is especially hard to see. |
theres more skins unreleased by relic:

StuG III skinned with “German Rotbraun” Pattern
Nah, that's exactly the same pattern as the Late War Factory one, but with a different name. |
It's funny because in the first trailer for WFA they showed off 76mm Shermans, and they showed them off as the Soviet M4C which was meant to be a 'preview' American unit. And then poof, they never happened.
Well tbh, where would you put it in the USF? It's basically just a shittier, slightly cheaper M4A3E8. There's no reason to put it in a commander instead of the M4A3E8 besides 'just because'. |
Did you expect some tactic from Russian players or combined arms? Hell no, spam is name of the game they are playing.
Way to generalise. If spamming something with Ostheer or OkW would work I'm sure people would do it. German players don't play any more fair than Russian players.
What is this shit about 'Russian' and 'German' players anyway, is it impossible for someone to play both? |
I dont care about your stats I care about game balance which is still broken. As I say to somebody else unless you have something usefull to say just shut up.
Stats ARE fact. They determine what happens in the game.
At max range, the ISU has 50% chance to do 240 damage on a hit. The Elephant has 100% chance to do 320 damage on a hit.
Is a fact. |
