Radio intercept is super valuable against Ostheers popular assault gren opening who just lol-sprint and win every squad on squad engagement in the early game if you don't know they are coming, and you don't have shock troops to even the odds later on. Mark target is also very valuable since your heaviest tank is a low-end medium tank. The doctrine has a perfect mix of manpower and munitions abilities where you can't spam abilities but you also won't float munitions in the lategame. In: COH2 Gameplay

Then even with 4 of these 'dominating' conscripts, they still crutch super hard on the OP T70 to make up for the drop-off of effectiveness after the 4 minute mark when STG/LMGs/grenades start rolling out for the axis when their own upgrade is locked behind T4. It destroyed me, because my age was starting to show. Just don't have that CPM or multitasking. Just couldn't deal with the changes. And it was about this time when even sub-intermediate rank 500 players started chasing retreating units. I think there might have been another patch that encouraged this, by reducing the damage reduction to retreating units? That REALLY started ruining the game for me. Just the lamest fucking gameplay ever, 2v2s turned into a battle where the players were basically just jockeying for position to get retreat wipes after the initial engagement. If you're still a noob and are looking for a winning 2v2 strat, just do this - cap what you can, then go help your mate by flanking from behind. Even top 100 you don't always see this, but it's the easiest way to win a 2v2. Wipe all that stuff, win game. It really is that simple and that stupid a game now. I fail to see how proper use of positioning and flanking getting rewarded is a bad thing. It's also not at all an easy thing to do. If you want to use your indirect, use it. There is already the safety vs accuracy dynamic. A mortar firing safely from max range isn't worth it as the accuracy of indirect units is rather bad at long ranges. If you want to get value out of a mortar, you already have to micro it to stick closely behind your units and manually target / barrage the units you need to hit. In: COH2 Gameplay
