In that case, Tiger Ace is completely OP as it gives you a huge boast against your enemy having both equal forces in the battlefield. The other scenario is that you were losing, and in that case Tiger Ace is a second chance to win the match. That can be hard, I don't deny that, but is a chance anyway and if you were losing probably not deserved, as there isn't any other commander in the game that gives such powerful unit for free. I could manage that if it was the only useful ability in that commander, but training units used wisely can be very powerful too. In: COH2 Gameplay

While infantry moves very slow in high snow, they are actually doing fine in mud. The other way around: Tanks get quite fast through high snow, but it's a pain in the ass to get them of mud.^^ So -> snow != mud. Yes, you're right. I don't think is an issue of snow or mud, the problem is how they're applied to the current multiplayer maps. Let's hope than they're well implemented in some custom maps. In: Lobby

Thread: Opening Soviets Without Conscript Spam21 Dec 2013, 15:35 PM Jump back to quoted post20 Dec 2013, 15:50 PMcomputerheat I know that some players have been going for a fast Penal Battalion in their opening builds. The idea is to keep them constantly fighting so they get vet quickly. Don't retreat the penals, just merge conscripts into them and retreat the conscripts when needed. Penal + 2-3 conscripts are a good start. Never retreat your penals, just reinforce them with conscripts and let them level fast. Don't upgrade flamethrower neither. Just engage enemies at long range and behind cover. Even if suppressed, try to flank with cons the MG42 instead of retreating the penals. Finally, upgrade flamethrower when you see the firsts LMGs or G43s. Later you can make another penal unit (I don't recommend it, because it requires a lot of micro to have them constantly merged) or go to doctrinal infantry before teching to T3-T4. Letting elite infantry appear at min 2 is boring. Btw, I don't like con spam. My infantry's backbone are penals supported by cons for reinforcing, stealing weapons and dealing with light armor. Penals are good enough to deal with grens+LMG and with a bit of reinforcing they can win too against G43s. In: COH2 Balance

Only that I don't consider them athletes. They are people who invest a lot of time to be good at something, that's worthy of praise. The same that a good writer, singer or craftsman. E-sports is a good game, in between a game and an actual sport. Is a kind of electronic competition where people competes with their strategy, knowledge of the game and skill.
