leFH Counter Barrage is straight bullshit. Something you missed, is it DOES have reduced FoW scatter, 1.25 instead of 1.75. Also, it gets increased range, also it hits harder... seriously wtf. Check Panzergren's numbers in the Discord.
It also has statistically the highest damage down range, a truly MASSIVE 1 shot AoE, and the last patch cut the pop cost by 3, so these guns can be squeezed in to team builds more. It maintains the best downrange DPS WITHOUT Counter Battery, which is just WAAAAY off base damage wise.
The ML/20 reaches damage parity with the BASE leFH barrage at Vet 1. Vet 1 is not a bonus, its a PARITY.
My PERSONAL biggest issue is the ML/20 had its ability removed yet the leFH still has Counter Battery. ML/20s are just... more boring for no reason.

Slow, inaccurate, yet powerful shells is why the 120mm mortar is trash. EITHER make the barrage shots slower, OR make it less powerful, but DON'T cut accuracy. On a targeted ability like a barrage, it NEEDS to reliably force movement and not be a lotto cannon.
GENERALLY, barrages should be fast, accurate, but not 80 damage@large AoE shots to allow counterplay and response. Rocket Arti violates this normally, its why everyone hates fighting it.
The autofire can be spray-n-pray (to a greater extent), its not a dedicated tool for quickly forcing movement, its for bleed.

Also, Panther prioritize vehicles helps onboard new players who may think its a generalist, instead of a nimble TD with a pile of machine guns. The pintle doesnt care about prioritize. |
Maybe also add a bit of extra suppression-on-shot to Grens so they help MGs initiate and maintain supression; all shots already do some, just give them more. Just be careful with the LMG42 |

Thanks for the work MMX! The nominal DPS numbers look good. Theoretically, Crommy has the best max range DPS besides the blap gun of the Sherman.
Just how that DPS converts to kills/bleed is the next step (if it ain't dead, doesn't count). That way leads to AoE profile madness and MG uptime assumptions. |
So, shoot them with tanks. If Ost, open MG42 and maybe Ass Grens as that will shut down tommies, then get 222 to force AEC, then P4 which slaughters UKF till Comet or massive investment in AT guns or handheld AT.
If you can slip in a sniper, UKF has no good solution outside counter snipe, which 222 just annihilates.
That'll give you a solid fighting chance. |
It's expensive for what it does, which is nothing. It's just too slow.
And with the cancel throw when supressed, its pointless vs MGs unless they are in buildings.... but only if it breaks the building.
And the sniper unstealths long enough during throw to be supressed...
