Maybe they know something you don't. Like how 2 play. The irony is real in this statement. I've personally found the new T34/76 under-perform dramatically against armor'd units thx to the reduction in reload time. Only after equipping it with 3 special t-34 bulletins have I found it actually become useful. And for those wondering, I know for a fact that the Sherman is more effective than the T-34 by far, after using both extensively against high lvl and low lvl players. Better penetration, better AI, has a topgunner. And is only a little more expensive than a T-34. Totally would take it every time. Which is why I think USF is better at countering OKW than Sov. Thread: Are kubelwagens OP12 Sep 2014, 17:43 PM Jump back to quoted post12 Sep 2014, 17:13 PMAlbus The idea behind buffing the Kubel was to eliminate the unit's redundancy against the Soviets (A faction the Kubel really feels lacking against) as well as give it some late game potential against the Americans. I've played against it a few times and I've played with it post-change and I quite like it. It's a farcry from the disposable insta-harass-and-expect-to-lose-by-the-fifth-minute-mark vehicle which almost always ended up dying extremely early against both factions. I admit, it may have been a little overbuffed but I think that could be offset with a manpower increase to maybe 280ish. I think, in terms of effectiveness, its in the perfect place at the moment although it is really cheap for what it does. At higher levels, it's still really easy to kill with early game vehicle rushes and good micro/flanking. Every game I've been up against the Kubel has generally amounted in me killing it within the first 5 minutes at least. Sir Albus speaks wisely. +1 In: COH2 Balance

With this new "bug fix," t34s are nigh useless due to the number of at weapons they must fight and the amount of damage they manage to do. I think the best idea at this point would be to revert t34 to their good old super AI tank status that they used to hold a while ago, and then give us the much needed t70/ su76 swap. As the game stands now, t34s are not cost efficient for what they do, especially since they are the only worthwile unit in their tier for the most part. Spot on post. In: COH2 Balance

The KV-1 should have 1 sec less reload due to the fact it has a bigger turret and crew, but since they shared the same gun (file wise) this also buffed the T34. This patch fixed this. Should have close to no impact on the game anyways as it's still dominated by call-ins. If the T34/76 is too weak now then it's probably giving a buff. Considering that out of each 30 trials at 10 / 20 / 30 range the T34 won on average 43% of the times vs a PIV (Most on short range, least on long range) I guess it's fine. I know it's not a perfect test and the sample size is small, yet it's the best data I could create without dedicated tools D: So I guess the change is focused more on forcing a greater number of people to use call-ins in their strategy. I was trying to get away from that, but the moment I do I get this. I've seen no-one complain, or start threads, even talk about the old T-34/76 being OP last patch, more ISU, 85s, etc, etc. So I feel this change, even if it was planned because of it being a mistake last patch(which dafuq, someone seriously needs to be hired to check everything out before a patch is released to make sure at least 90% of the changes were right changes, and not oops we accidentally nerfed or buffed this unit, gonna have to wait 1-2 months until next patch when we fix it, enjoy the meta. ) , should've been ruled out after what was seen over the course of the last patch.
