Yeaaah well 4 pzgren with panzerschrecks killed 8 of my firefly tanks. Cry me a river... Boohoo my one unit to rule them all is gone. |
Land mattress is shit. It is epic. But shit.
It takes forever to fire and move
I would decrease the fuel needed or buff the speed of tear down and setup
If you don't retreat it back it will 80% get killed
If you retreat it back you need to wait for like 40s for it to start firing because it needs to pack, move, unpack, wait till fire and by then the whole operation is over and you got pushed back or something else.
And for comets I don't use them. Churchill is a powerhouse of HP. Comet is not on par with a panther so no point there really. Build a firefly and a Churchill it is better imo.
Also lastly when it gets to the emplacements. They are easy to kill. Like they last for 2min if they want them gone. I think mortar should be a little bit more accurate since most of the time I build them they fire 10 shots and get 1 kill. Then die after 2min with 3 kills. There are games where they rack up 10-20 kills and that is amazing but that is every 3-4 games.
Why would I pay 350 mp for something that gets killed so easy and misses most shots it fires? Am I missing something? |
this is a ui error. When you click the building the arc comes from the center of the building but the MG is at a window. Click the MG icon and it will show a proper arc (from the window)
Oh. But the bunkers know to shoot outside of your kone too. Especially when you think you are going to make it, then the sign turns red and you become sad |
I want to know when will you fix MGs pinning and suppressing outside of their range, especially in buildings. What is the point of the cone if they can shoot past that on auto-attack and in case of the MG42 you get insta suppressed outside of its range so it is even more annoying. Bunkers do this too. |
you need half the APM for brits you need for any other faction. That's their advantage
That is not that big of a deal since I don't find COH2 as micro intensive. Part of why I stopped playing SC2 is that this is a lot more chill of a game hahaha |
Yeah Brits are in a bad spot right now but they're getting buffed as soon as the patch drops, plus the Tigers are dying so that's another big plus.
Hope they will be in a nice spot for a change |
Now I do not play 1v1 I'll say that first and I am a relatively new player so I may be wrong too.
But when speaking about 2v2 3v3 that I play I fell like Soviets do the trick much better. USF does the trick too but I don't play them.
I just feel like Inf Sections and the Cromwell are not on the same level as other inf and mediums. A t34/M4/Pz4 does the trick a lot better than a Cromwell both AT and AI and the smoke ability just doesn't cut it IMHO.
For the inf sections, they get good and very good only when you invest a lot of fuel and ammo into them. Lack of mobile mortars is also a pain when versing a good OST or OKW micro player since they just push you away from your placements and kill them.
Don't get me wrong when you guard a mortar pit good it is insane, but that rarely happens if you are not dominating the map (or it is a smaller map) since they just get 2-3 mortars (1 from each player in 2v2) or field guns and kill it fast.
So IDK what can we do to boost brits, I love to play them, love their units. But every other time I play them I get situations where I think to my self that a few penals would have stopped that push or I think to my self that my Cromwell was a waste of fuel because it fired 10 shots and killed 2inf before getting killed. I just don't see this patch addressing the problem with brit inf, and their lack of a decent medium tank.
I feel like axis has better base inf, and to get on par I need to spend a lot of fuel and ammo that axis uses to get some good tanks and LMGs that again shred me when I come back from the base. |
Am I the only one here that thinks that brits won't be that much better after this patch? Apart from the UC buff, it won't get much of a kick where they lack. They are only good late game because they can get outflanked in 2v2 and up. They do not have good support equipment since mortars and Bofors are stationary which means that you can't really push with those, and they cost a lot more than support from other factions. No blob stoppers. No good early tank since the Cromwell is IMO outclassed even by the t34 since it is more versatile. AC is good but still AT not really AI. They lack vs ostheer I feel because when they get LMG and vet they can shred even 2 bren IS because they have a mortar supporting them and probably an mg. While I can only have an MG in most cases. Why would I play brits if I can get penals and have a powerful infantry, and mid and late game, opposed to mainly late game with brtis. Am I missing the playstyle since I love the brits as a faction but every time I play them I remember how soviets do everything a lot better. |
this is cheating/ bug abuse!!!
and leads to a 1 month timeban!
This is a really sad response imo |
Well I looked at the game and there is a lot of things you can improve to counter that type of play from ostheer. First you need to work on your cap order especially on crossing in the woods , vps are in general useless early on and you should try to rush the fuel and dig in with a sandbag at that position so they can't push you off. If you want to counter the mg spamm you need a sniper later on and I agree vickers UC is pretty good early on against them , just be careful fighting them from the front as they can pen the UC pretty frequently. Also in term of army control you really should try to take cover as much as possible , this is true for all factions but brits have their dmg output reduced by a large margin if you stand out of cover , they also drop like flies if you are on no cover or god forbid red cover. I would recommend getting a vickers yourself to ward off any kind of okw blob coming from the sides , can't really ever trust the random mate to do that job for you in these kind of games. You should also try to spread your tommies when you advance , if they are too close together they will get area suppressed , meaning one squad will give other nearby squads the suppression they receive. It seemed to me you were treating tommies as riflemens , but in that scenario ukf can't really push off mgs even by flanking unless they find a piece of cover to fight from , they have really low dmg output as basic 4 man out of cover. And finally if you ever want to build the nerfed bofor or any other emplacement you should make it your gameplan and stick to it , defending it from all odds to maximize its value and effectiveness. You just built the bofor then left it alone while going on the right side. You want to build emplacements when you are in an advantageous position on the battlefield , not when you are behind. I would argue Aec can also help against mgs , it can destroy their cover by shooting at them and it does average dmg with its hull mg.
What an amazing reply. Thank you. Most of this I already know but I don't use it in game. I guess that comes with experience. Thanks a lot I will spread units more and fight in cover more in the future. It is always smart to build cover as a fallback line too i guess. |
