I just think that people just want to finish off the Soviets, if there is anything viable - immediately kill it |
2 mosins instead of ptrs won't change much. 2 zooks on 360 mp squad is a waste. Only problem i see is price.
More specialized with price adjustment of course |
Chi-Ri: more like the nonexistant Maus analog, since it never saw combat despite the almost finished (still incomplete) prototype.
Cheeto: maybe closer to the Tiger (Ace?), but still: only 2 were built, and neither saw combat, undercutting even the Comet/Pershing/Sturmtiger's low and dismal combat participation. Having a doctrinal 1-time call in Firefly equivalent isn't what I'd call viable armor for the whole faction.
Yes, I know that they did not participate in the battles.
- Chi-Ri by mass and armor is still closer to the Tiger (Elite Tiger analog)
- Chi-To was something from 2 to 7 |
Lemme throw them back in.
-Katanas: no melee, pointless to have other than for A E S T H E T I C S
-Turtle strats: referring to how they actually fought irl with tunnels and bunkers
-Naval engagements made up a lot of the Pacific theater and to relegate it to just off-map would be doing the Pacific theater an injustice
-Obsolete medium armor WITH no heavy armor is hell to play. Ever try fighting in the late game with only light vehicles? Ever like it?
-Still no unit preservation
I don't agree, Japan has Type 4 Chi-To - It will be the doctrine Firefly analog
And Type 5 Chi-Ri (available one per fight, produced in one copy) - Tiger analog, but will be more mobile
Italians can only dream of such analogs, or of course use German technology to fill in the gaps. But the fact is that the Germans used the Italians. So it will be the third German faction with Italians elements. |
I think we need to remove the DP + PTRS from the Guard and make them more specialized:
6 people come out only with rifles have two improvements
- 2 DP-27 - make them ranged specialists
- 2 Bazooka (ability hit to vulnerable places, more damage, more crit chance) |
But it does. Seriously, if Axis can have heaps of Ostwinds when 45 were made, then pumas when 101 were made, and Brits driving around with Comets and US with Pershings, it's really not a stretch at this point for italians to have Semovente da 90/53 as a jackson equivalent, possibly with some other variant of Cannone da 90/53 for heavy tank busting and Carro Armato P 40 as a sherman/t34 equivalent. Then Semovente da 105/25 for a brummbar/stuh like contraption and you're done with T4. Lower tiers are a complete non-issue.
L3/35 would be pretty hilarious as it's actualy quite a bit smaller than a kubel.
Okay, maybe you fill the basic Tiers, but you have nothing to add to the commanders, call the Panther like a Tank Hunter? The Japanese can be added Type 4 Chi-To - as a heavy anti-tank tank, and Type 5 Chi-Re can be called only once per fight (because only one tank was built). Plus, the Japanese have a trophy Sherman.
|
Out of curiosity, why do people want Japan or Africa, and not Italy? An Africa DLC would have reoccurring units and less diversity?
Because Italy does not have equipment for a full Faction. Even if it built according to the US concept - without heavy tanks. With German heavy tanks it will be the 4,5 Germans fraction (VCoH+CoH2). Japan will approach this concept - it is self-sufficient. |
B4 included in the howitzers balance? |
You misspelled Flame Hetzer
No, not a misprint. All the heavy Soviet tanks (KV-1, KV-2, KV-8, IS-2, ISU-152) - shit. Yes, Flame Hetzer also needs some repairs, but the Soviet heavy in a lamentable state is very very long time |
I know Relic said they'd have a five year plan for coh2, but does anyone know when it was said? (THQ age or after release)
Since the change of management would of changed that as well as the low player count of coh2.
It's sega in charge and it's them to choose what happens since well....$$
DOW3 is where the $$$ is at for Relic/Sega and even then coh2 still has a higher playerbase....
Dawn of War 3 - failed, check out the reviews of players: 56% positive reviews on Steam, 4.9 on Metacritic. I don't even know if it's worth releasing Relic / Sega DLC for the game? |
