With the new update going live and because I'm going on a CoH-hiatus for a while I wanted to share a few maps with you. Two of them are new, and two of them are updated versions of already released maps. I will post these to Steam Workshop as soon as the service is live. Hope you enjoy!!
I
(1v1) Forest Valley Chemical Depot
-Notes-
- A central chemical depot surrounded by destructible forest is the theme of this map
- Wide flanking routes extend to the edges of the map
- Aggressive cutoffs and a variety of cap-order options
- The amount of heavy snow is very limited. The vast majority is shallow snow or textures.
- Initially claustrophobic, the center of the map opens up with the arrival of tanks
The terrain under the tac map is rotated but the sectors are exactly as they appear. I have not changed this manually because the bug will be fixed in this patch. For reference, the bridges over the ice connect near each player's base.
- This map is meant for casual fun
- Both teams start with all their resource points immediately accessible
- Wide flanking routes skirt a central combat area (hence the name: RumblePit)
- Removed one building from top and bottom Victory Points
- Top and bottom victory points slightly adjusted
- Slightly moved munitions point to spread out conflict zones
- Refined deep snow to improve retreat pathing
- Minor texture and spline fixes
- Original Muni point retained for those who liked it better (can be played as 1v1)
- Be aware of space constraints within the bases.
- This is not a large map (despite some claims), and it can get crowded fast.
- Top and bottom Vic Point have had one building removed
- Deep snow refined for better retreat pathing
Nope, forgot to turn on my additional cooling Really, very nice job !
Thanks, Von Kluge. I appreciate the support. If you;d ever like to play, then hit me up on steam, or in the custom map steamgroup. The same for the rest, too. I'm not great, but I might be able to hold my own. Cheers, and thanks again.
By request I have converted the original 1v1 Commune 225 map into a map capable of 2v2. This was achieved by expanding the interior base territory with some even handed 'out-of-bounds-area' tweaking, and some rearranging of the props. It is now possible to build two bases. However:
Discaimer: I did not originally intend for this map to support four players. YOU HAVE TO PAY ATTNETION WHEN PLACING YOUR BASE BUILDINGS. I couldn't alter the back region, have it retain its SP flow, and make the bases very spacious.
But most importantly ENJOY! It turns into mayhem pretty fast.
To show off some of the terrain, I've streamed a demo video vs the expert AI to twitch, for anyone who is interested. Link is below: http://www.twitch.tv/milewidethigh/c/3300804
