Thread: How do you open workshop maps in world builder?20 Dec 2013, 03:52 AM You can use the extract command I think. If you go into the original steam posting when the world builder was released, there is a note in which a command line is provided for extracting the installed maps. You need to make a shortcut for the archive .exe, go into its properties, and add that command line to the "start from" line, and it should extract the installed maps. I'm just taking a guess at this though. By the way, if you want more detailed instructions, there is a video on youtube which illustrates how to do this. Just search for worldbuilder archiver or something like that and you should be able to find it without much difficulty. In: Mapping Discussion
Thread: AI problem20 Dec 2013, 03:49 AM So you checked to make sure that you've already selected calculate voronoi to create a base sector? Have you placed capture points under your point locations? Have you modified the terrain in some way as to create impassable terrain around some crucial pathway? Is your interactivity level set right? Just trying to spitball, maybe something will come to mind for you. I haven't had this problem but I think any of these things might contribute. In: Mapping Discussion

To be frank, I probably won't update it for 2v2 for the reason that it would require a pretty big redesign of the base areas for a map made specifically for 1v1s. I'd rather use that time to make a map for you guys that was specifically for 2v2s because I think the end result will be much better, and I already planned to do a 2v2 as my next project, anyhow. You have to actually make an effort to publish something, and if you want to share it with your friends, its easier to just give them the name and the number of players than to go through the trouble of publishing the map. Both Commune 225s got published by some dude. Flagged/reported and left comments on the page. Still annoying as hell because that's 300 subscriptions that the real file doesnt have. Sure, its not like its a competition, but as a person who puts a lot of effort and energy into a map, its still nice to see those numbers as a token of appreciation for your energies. Thread: No RNG mode18 Dec 2013, 21:25 PM The only bit that ever gets to me is the occasional insta-wipe. Like when you get the grenade warning and jump to the squad just in time to see it murder all six conscripts. That's a bummer. Otherwise, RNG is the (edit: one of the) reason(s) I love CoH so much.
