An AI strafe would counter those. The AT strafe isn't that special, I guess it's only useful against rocket arty because of OKW Spec Ops flares that you won't really notice because those barely have any indications of being used. Shouldn't be a problem anymore if they get changed or switched out. And the Soviet AI strafe will be buffed. It's been years since i've seen the AI strafe been used but i don't think it's effective against mobile infantry. Might be wrong and if it works well you are right. In: COH2 Balance

I've never used it nor seen it being used with success. TBF i think you could give Jaeger Armor any kinda of offmap capable of destroying rocket artillery and the effect would be the same as per OP describes. If it wasn't for the commander's name, the AI suppress strafe from CAS would had been the ideal change (since ISU commanders got the AI crappy one as well). In: COH2 Balance

As in, is it able to succeed an accuracy check and have its shell become homing like a normal tank can? I haven't ever seen it do so, despite it nominally having the same accuracy as most medium tanks, I assume this is because it's technically some sort of "indirect" unit... Or that I simply haven't observed it happen somehow. I'm inclined to say no, but it's easy to check. Take the fastest vehicle with the biggest size and line it to shoot it while it runs perpendicular to it. In: COH2 Balance

While not the same, as OH you have some commanders with camouflage + sprint, so you can use it on PG, so you can try to fight fire with fire. I wouldn't choose it as a counter but more as a reminder that you have that possibility. In: COH2 Gameplay

AT vs random differs and in most ELO systems, parties are valued higher. Let's take the 385 UKF random 2v2 player 385/2466 and you guys are 1159/8218. That's pretty equal. If we go by level UKF: lv12 SU: lv13 Party: Lv13 If anything, the match was in your favour rank wise. In: COH2 Gameplay

Which affects the most on weapon picks than. Vet1 vision on cover I don't ever see Grens getting 5th man by default. I don't see that big of a change ever happening, specially after the last patch. What i had always vision was that Pios (before the repair changes) would had gotten a 5th man upgrade. In regards to Grens, the most i can see happen is moving the reinforce bonus for them only at T3 and further at T4. ___________________ Pio: Vision Outside of repair/mine/sweeper i think they perform different roles. Flamer makes it a light shock value unit early on while you will never see weapon rack on RE that early. Later on Pio is more passive while RE are the unit UKF has to snare. ___________________ PG vs AO Your mistake as with previous point is trying to mirror them. PG are short AND mid range DPS while AO is short. I think you get way more out of the buck for PG and you need to get vet2 on AO before it pays off (5th model). ___________________ HT Healing 222 + HT vs AEC I think at this point i realise you mostly play 3v3+. It's all about timing. FHT is a real threat while the AEC is basically on the same level of the 222 for cost. I'll cut it here. I don't think you can just compare a single Axis faction vs a single allied faction, cause that not how balance work. If UKF was so good we would had seen win tournaments and be spammed in most games. In regards to OH, i think we have a specific thread about it. I think it's a little too soon yet to make balance calls and if anything is gonna change i suspect minor changes to cost efficiency, not many broad stat changes. In: COH2 Balance

Because it spends time rotating and tracks through the fog of war, the barrage won't start until it rotates enough to be able to fire at them, by which point their barrage would have finished and their retreat order would have been given. Counter Barrage will then attack them at where they retreated to since fog of war doesn't affect it.. Because of the delay before the counter barrage, the Allied team can never be sure if the LeFH is rotating or if counter barrage is even active, meaning the only way to truly protect your Arty is to never stop moving. ...And the balance team is fine with this. Not really after some small testing. Road to Kharkov, so it's a linear map. Having the LeFH offcenter by °90 and °180 against a Katyusha which barrages and then retreated (barrage + shift command click back in base) made the LEFH miss completely, while having it dead center on the Katyusha meant that it actually shoot back before it move from it's space. Considering CB can trigger on anything, not sure you want it to take so much time to turn around. I'm sure you will sometimes get lucky on wide maps and catch someone by surprise but i wouldn't rely on this technique at all. In: COH2 Balance

Something about it "not happening in game" when the same person who did the test in OP also posted a clip from the game of his Katyusha getting shit on by a leFH tracking it. ?? Mortar auto attack, barrage and smoke barrage triggers CB. MHT HE, AA, WP and Delayed as well. Same with Su76 or Zis barrages. M8/Scott does trigger it with both AA and HE barrage. Smoke won't trigger it. KV2 artillery mode doesnt trigger it. Not sure what other interactions you want to try. In: COH2 Balance
