The other day a Jadgtiger rolled towards the front line, and then decided to stop. We quicky recon'd it, used mark target, and had 2 B4s precision strike it. It blew up in spectacular fashion.
But think about it, 1200mp in arty pieces, 180 munitions for 2 precision strikes, recon plane, and mark target. He also kept it stationary for the whole ordeal.
The best part about this doctrine is using the "For Mother Russia" to buff the B4s. Want to really cheese? put it near an FHQ, use "For Muther Russia" and watch the fireworks.
But for real, stuka dive bomb, walking stuka, counter arty, fragmentation bomb, the list goes on. Its easy to take out. |
The formula for weapons has several variables. There is a "cooldown" between shots where they don't do anything, and then there is a "reload" when the magazine is empty.
For example, the Maxim doesn't reload every burst. It Bursts -> Cooldown -> Burst -> Cooldown -> Needs a reload (simplified some of the other factors, this is just an example to illustrate cooldown vs reload).
Rate of fire is how fast each burst lasts or time between shots for single shot weapons. Faster rate of fire on machine guns also gives them a little quicker suppression (Very little). |

The CEVO tournament was one of only a few large competitive tournaments that the game has seen. There are regular tournaments of the less-prestigious variety that you could check out. (ESL is probably the most active). There is also Rewind Events which has held a few tournaments and probably has one coming up in the next month or two.
There will surely be some competitive/prize tournaments in the future. |
I used the TA in a tight 4v4 game the other night, for the first time in months. It's strength has always been the "Hero" nature of it - High rate of fire + sight + speed + special abilities makes this unit very strong.
The King Tiger is an oddball. I have had it used against me very well in a few situations, and have myself used it a few times with great effect. It's speed and turret traverse make it easy to take down if you get behind it. Used as a "spearhead" in support of an infantry attack, it is a straight up monster. |

I usually have Joint ops since they seemed like a good choice for 2vs2 and thought would be okay-ish for 1vs1, what nerfs did pak43 and howie get exactly?
Pak43 had its range reduced, and the Howie had its number of shells per barrage cut in half some time ago. They are both still very good, but limited usage in 1v1. Joint Ops is a great doctrine for Wehr players in 3v3 or 4v4 though. |
