Maxim beats the mg42 in a 1vs1 fight.
Maxim gets more effective when spammed, mg42 spam leaves you wide open to hard counters.
The maxim spam also negates the weakness of the smaller arc, making it even better (not to mention said weakness is mitigated by 6 men squads and faster set-up time).
A-moving maxims is actually better then regular moving maxims. Never a-move mg42's.
And a maxim in a house is good enough defence for anything you need, but when you go for maxims, you're not the one defending.
Maxim also has lovely 5% suppresion bulletin which can be stacked, just to have another advantage in engagements (for reference, the 10% suppresion on mg42 was removed since it was OP).
And ofc, maxim is cheaper than mg42.
But don't let these facts distract you, i am sure you will be spamming threads like these till the end of time without ever changing your opinion.
Just like aaa.

You can't compare the two at all.
The tiger ace was a free super tank. Before the tiger ace could hit the field, the ostheer player had equal resources as the enemy and all the tools he needed to build an army that could face any thread. After the tiger ace hit the field his army got such a massive boost for 0 resources that he could just face-roll the enemy. The allies only stood a chance if they were already far ahead before the TA hit the field, if they were slightly ahead, even, or god forbid slightly behind, it was game over instantly.
With the brits it's completely different. Brits don't get a complete early game army if they go for bofors. Their AT options are extremely limited making them very vulnerable to light vehicle play. If you play aggressively enough the enemy won't even be able to set it up. If they do manage to somehow get a bofors up, you are not even at a disadvantage. A bofors is of no immediate danger and will not wreck your face instantly and you have plenty of time to transition into the counter: teching up to panthers. Brits have no follow up tanks that are too much for axis nondoctrinal tanks to handle; unlike USF where you had to use very vulnerable Jacksons that had to fight a 50 range, self spotting, blitzing, target-weak-point-using tiger ace IN ADDITION to facing the other tanks made by the ostheer player because, again, the tiger ace was free.
Elite troops was even banned from some tournaments because of how OP it was. British emplacement play got completely trashed last ESL, even with the emplacement buffing commander. This should probably tell you something about how the two cannot be compared.
You misunderstood, im not comparing between them.
I am pointing out the similiarities between the suggested counters: vs ace, win before it hits the field.
As usf, win before 15 minutes (vs any axis strat).
Vs bofors, beat brit with light vehicle's before he gets one.
I could as easily pointed out to something as fighting 2 tigers at once, or JT and KT from the same player.
The point i made was that suggesting something akin to beat the the player before minute X or unit(s) Y is build is not a valid defence in any way for the current situation.

And aaa number 2 enters the party.... |
How the hell did he even get a bofors up in the first place? Without the AEC, brits have 0 counters against the 222 (only doctrinal tank hunter sections). You could have just gotten 1 or 2 of those and pushed him off the field before he could get a bofors up.
Beat the player before he gets X unit out on the field/ before minute Y.
Reminds me of Tiger ace or the way people hated having to win in 15 minutes as USF...

axis community is getting increasingly dumb a long with a game done with me. Would like them to just chill the fak off from me.
Then stop posting.
What to do if he opens with non stop gren spam on ferma (possibly into 222 but not neccesarily issualy just spam with BF1)? Replays of this kind?
Spam maxims.
If at first you don't succeed,
Spam more maxims.

Christ almighty. Why is this guy still here, all he does is whine about Soviets, and not even real problems.
Because he is the troll coh2.org deserves, but not the one it needs right now. |
Hep! Now I beat the AI to But I most say the game-style is not so fun. Build, Run and Hit!
Is it the same in multiplay games?
Hardly, you never have those long times before the game starts (took me about 5 minutes before i even saw an enemy on that map, in multiplayer, the first fights would alreayd be over).
Basicly, the maps are alot smaller and i think, more fun.

Stuff
Funny thing you mention all those commanders and abilities, since all of them were OP and were nerfed accordingly. There is no reason to keep something OP (weak early/mid/late game, commander would be useless, other side has X yadayada) and caliope is OP, there can be no doubt about that (640 hp and 160 armor it has alone is enough for a nerf/change).
But seeing as you don't come forth with anything i requested, i will leave this discussion now, however interesting it may be.

I play nothing but 2on2 OKW, that's right, and I do believe that the game is quite unbalanced. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with Allies buff, or is there some kind of hidden contract that one has to defend their own faction??
You and i both know you don't just disagree with an allied buff, but advocate just about nothing else.
Even going so far as to claim caliope commander is fine and other USF commanders should be buffed to it's level. Not to mention your comments about axis players or your general attitude when confronted when someone disagree's about that.
And as for the hidden agenda: in my 2-3 years here i have yet to meet the player who plays one faction mostly/solely and is biased towards the other faction/side (your posts actually fit with an allied only player).
But as i said, maybe you are special (and play a damn lot in a span of 4 month's). Or i found the wrong person.
So, i would ask for a playercard and/or a replay, to make sure either way.

Typical.. User disagrees with post, requests player-rank, and use threats of being decimated in-game to demonstrate point.
Use the search tool if you want. There's not that many JohnSmith out there.
There is a JohnSmith out there, with about nothing but OkW games.
But the catch is, that guy is triple prestige and you claim to start playing since november, giving you about 4 month's to achieve what an average coh2 player takes about a year and a half.
Than there is the fact your posts are everything but consistent with someone playing mostly one faction.
Perhaps you are the very first person wh predominatly plays one faction and somehow is able to claim the other side needs more buffs (generalisation) and is capable of doing what the average coh2 player needs about a year for.
Or you are someone else and i got the wrong person.
Who knows? i certianly don't.
