In 1v1 this unit is a bit too cost effective.
Doesn't shine as much in team games as it's not very durable. |
^ not sure if serious. 99% that is not. |
It's a rng machine. I'd welcome more accuracy, higher rate of fire - less damage change. Or something similar.
I had 120 mortar wining games for me and being 400 mp waste. Also is not a good unit on all maps. Sometimes it's better to go for a regular one. |
The katyusha sucks too
Except it doesn't. |
If you only nerf OKW and do not buff Wehr, then there is absolutely no change for Wehr poor current state. It might solve some Allies issues, for sure, but not everything is OKW-related, or maybe i misunderstood what you said.
Except I don't think Whermaht is in such a dire sate as everyone seems to think. Even against US. Play defensively at the beginning, don't over stretch, use combined arms, MG + Mortar work wonders and you'll be fine. |
I haven't found any practical use for this unit despite I tried.
Very costly and rather gimmicky. Maybe in large team games?
It doesn't even synergie well with ISG. |
True but that's why they are cheaper. basically you can outfit a rear echelon with 2 zooks for each volks with a shrek. but their are no medium tanks to fight against so the value of the zooka drops.
That's also true however by doing so you are crippling your Rifles. |
shreks reload is 8.5, bazooka is 5.5. zooks shoot ~35% faster
shrek dps = 14.12
zook dps= 14.55
wether it be zook or shrek, i always fire the first shot, move forward in case the vehicle tries to escape, count to 5 or 8, and order another attack to try and get 2 volleys off before the enemy vehicle gets out of range.
i mean, you cant expect the zook to actually kill heavies, youre gonna have to rely on heavier AT like jacksons or p47s to do the vast majority of the damage.
Your comparison in vacuum is irrelevant because in reality Shreks have no problem penetrating Allied medium tanks, they only struggle against IS-2 while Bazookas will have problem penetrating even PzIV. The only thing Bazooka is better at then Shreck are light vehicles. Does that make it better AT weapon?
Absolutely not! |
Ze Tigger.
Because it's a Tiger! |
practically its best to look at the first few volleys, since its likely that medium armor will back up as soon as they see AT weaponry.
lets limit the window of engagement to 11 or so seconds. in this time frame, a bazooka can fire 3 times. if all 3 shots successfully penetrate, you deal 80 x 3 damage. in the same time frame, a shrek will fire twice, for 120 x 2 damage.
if you further limit the window of engagement to 6 seconds, the bazooka will deal 160 damage, where as the shrek will only be able fire once so that it deals 120 damage.
equip another bazooka for 60 munitions and you double the damage output.
imo the only real downside for the bazooka is that its penetration really sucks compared to the shrek.
It doesn't matter because bazooka is more likely to bounce of target than Shreck. |
