They should tweak this and see how it plays out next patch. Pios are more than fine. German sniper is fine as well. If you think it's weak you can't use it right. Consprits need a bit of love. I think they are under performing right now. Soviet sniper is fine as it is now as you can hunt the squad down thanks to the recent changes. It may need to be look at when the meta changes. Thread: Concepts of soviets is wrong that why they so boring13 Apr 2014, 23:34 PM Jump back to quoted post10 Apr 2014, 21:09 PMwooof everything that anyone has said here is theoretical. theres no limit to how complex the theory crafting can get here and honestly it proves nothing. you want to get picky about research? then lets factor in all teching costs for a panther and t34 as well. then you want to add grens and pios to support the panther? then we can add a maxim and shocks to support the con, t34 and zis. does that prove anything? no. the whole point was heini said 2 t34s CAN (notice he never said WILL) kill a panther when used well. wongtp replied saying 2 t34s will never beat a panther, which is not true. when used properly, in the right situation, 2 t34s can beat a panther. thats not to say it will always work or is a recommended strategy, but the possibility is there. i replied to correct his "stats" because they were purely subjective guesses. the fact is a t34 has a much better chance of disabling the panther than he made it out to be. Sorry but a match up 2 T-34/76 against a Panther favours a Panther heavily. Maybe against someone who doesn't know what's doing but not against decent player. Been there, done that! In: COH2 Gameplay

Rnades always wipe models and still hurt the other ones alot so that another nade or small arms will see them off. The maxim has quick setup since its arc is so small. Not sure but with the range increase on vet can the Rnade out range the maxim? What's the difference you can still rifle nade a Maxim even if suppressed. In: COH2 Balance

When I first started playing Coh2, I simply chose German because I don't typically like Sov armies in any game because every unit is always an eyesore. When I started playing coh1, I chose US initially because I didn't want to play as the Evil Germans. Not to mention the reputation that "Soviets" have worldwide (except in Russia). The thing is if you are going to be an evil warmongering genocidal country, you need to have cool uniforms first. Or else nobody will want to play you in video games. I think just based on less hate for one particular faction, with the addition of Americans, the numbers of allies vs axis will even out. You can ignore the obvious as much as you like but I am telling you that right now it's so much easier and straight forward to play as a German. Before that patch I got the same feeling when I was playing Soviets. Now tides have turned. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Rifle Grenades11 Apr 2014, 15:01 PM I didn't have time to read all the bias that has been posted here but to address an opening post I think one of the problems with imbalance right now is rifle nades over performing. The damage is significant and quite constant. This combined with pretty decent range and relatively low cost makes them a no brainier really. I was always convinced that molotovs due to their smaller range should be the more potent nade as it is a bit harder to make them effective. I don't think reducing rifle nade blast radius is a way to balance it. I would love to see them consistent as they are now but I would tone their damage a bit. Leaving them as they are but increasing ammo cost would be a valid solution as well. In: COH2 Balance
