Hey guys! Quick heads up, we're currently working on getting other stretchgoals out (mainly our fan fiction) but once those are published, we'll get cracking on the results
Thanks for your patience! |
In regards to everyone debating casting styles, here's this :
You need someone like Ami to keep the hype up, keep the game entertaining and to keep people enthousiastic. Sure you can think he "rips" on his co casters (bullying is a bit harsh) by doing what he does but have you people considered that pretty much everyone involved with this tournament/website know how Ami is? I don't think Luvnest really minded that Ami sometimes made fun of his accent or what not (the two of them met up, got drunk and had fun a while ago remember.)
When I was co casting the Opening Ceremony with Ami I was nervous as fuck. Casting games in front of 900+ people puts a certain pressure on you and it defines you as a caster how you handle this pressure. A lot of effort and preparation has gone into all these casts and if Ami is comfortable blowing steam of or getting into a zone where he can provide good information without making stuff too boring, I don't mind. It made me feel more at ease, got me more relaxed and made me enjoy casting those games a lot.
That's also the reason why there's top players like Luvnest and Ciez coupled to more entertaining guys like Romeo or Ami. It's merely impossible to combine both aspects, being both entertaining AND analytical in one person.
We also have to keep in mind that there's a lot of people watching who don't have that much knowledge of the game. We attract a varied audience of both "noobs" (excuse my words) and more knowledgable players. Sure, some people won't love the way the casts are being done but really, in the greater scheme of things, I think the combo of a hype caster talking a lot, complemented by the thoughtful insight of a good player is way more entertaining, way better advertising and makes for more enjoyable casts than a duo that sticks to raw figures and facts, only mentioning playstyles and hard counters.
Imagine watching a game of your favorite sports on television, which style would you prefer? I'd rather be entertained than to be burried in a pile of facts and data.
Your opinions may vary, absolutely but I thought I'd give my 2 cents.
There's no doubt whatsoever that this tournament was a good thing for COH2 as a game, for me that's the most important thing. |

Back on topic pls gents |
I think :
Sega paid him for make this video
Don't know why he will make a video on a unknow game lol
If you read the description of the video very closely, you can see that Sega indeed asked him to review the game.
And you know what, that's perfectly normal, it's called marketing. |
Again, not entirely correct. It's more like "omg relic, you fucked your game up horribly and can't even release a much needed hotfix on time."
All those flavors and you choose to be salty |

Sept 30th, 2015:
"Introducing Dusty's Dank ESL 4v4 LAN Vancouver 2015
An exciting and extremely balanced tournament full of surprises, with each team having 2 allied and 2 axis factions filling their slots. Watch as grenadiers pick up Vickers Ks, and Shermans are given to the OKW player with the Command Panther. Full mirroring, no bullshit.
All players will be flown and hosted at a variety of extremely expensive downtown Vancouver hotels, with the matches being played live ON STAGE in front of a gigantic audience at the Vancouver convention centre.
DJ Breaking Brad will be playing a set for the Finals afterparty, admission included with 3 day ESL LAN pass.
Prize pool of $20k to be distributed between top 4 teams.
Additionally, a 1v1 and 2v2 tournament will be taking place on premises, with cash prize of $200, because they are not as exciting or balanced or strategic, as the community has so kindly told us.
Special guest Dbmb will be present to give a speech in the opening ceremonies on why it is bad to make multiple accounts and pretend to not be the same map hacking piece of shit Razh from 2014, as part of a promotional event for his new remedial book (as part of reparations for the illicit fame and victory gained in Star Crossed Kings) "Panzers, Guards, and Maphacks: How I became the saltiest piece of shit scumbag in the community."
Tickets will be on sale through the in game store, starting at $200 USD, of which %50 goes towards increasing the prize pool."
Legend has it Razh will ddos dusty for that brilliant speech. |
