The problem with the SU-85 is despite there being so much effective and readily available complete hard counters, (Shreks and AT Guns) it also doesn't counter tanks very well and dies far too easily to Panthers and Tigers, especially now with the +5 range buff. Given that Panthers and Tigers can't be countered with non existent infantry based for Soviets, and Ziss guns are not very effective against the anti infantry potential of not only the Tiger, but also the Pintle MG of the Panther, the SU-85 should be much more effective as a Tank Destroyer. (And the Jackson too for that matter) It's also Tier4 so it's a huge investment.
I would certainly love to see SU-76 nerfed in exchange for SU-85 buffed. I would like to see it's frontal armour increased and/or penetration. Given it's lack of turret it dies way too easily, and there's not even much point in flanking it. I think Giving it a frontal armour buff rather than penetration would be interesting to differentiate it from Jackson and Firefly which are both very high damage but glass canon.
Overall I think Coh2 would benefit so much if the late game AT of Allies was buffed in exchange for Anti Infantry vehicles nerfed.

The DPS on the Centaur is blatantly overpowered. It wipes Paks and Ratekens front the front far too easily, and any squad that gets chased on retreat is certainly going to do die.
I would suggest toning down the damage rather than accuracy because it's also way too effective against vehicles, it even shuts down Ostwinds and Pumas. Unless it gets both an accuracy and Penetration nerf. |
Considering the Panther is a tank destroyer with 50 range and a huge frontal armour it absolutely does not need any of those changes. It shouldn't even be killing infantry and AT guns as easily as it does. (Would you like to see a Jackson wipe a Ziss gun with a Pintle MG?)Those changes that you suggested because that would completely destroy the current balance vs Soviet and USF armour which it already completely dominates.
Instead how about we give it a penetration buff so it's better against British Heavies.
*Edit* Wait what, when you say PV do you actually mean a Panzer IV? Either way, don't break what's fine. Buff it's penetration. |
Grens are too hard to micro... what? Every single unit with LMG's are completely effortless to micro. Grenadier LMG's, Obers, Airbourne M1919's, you literally just have to attack move. Grenadiers don't even need to flank Machine guns half the time because you just rifle nade a Maxim/50 cal crew and gun the rest down with the LMG.
USF not only have to pay 25 fuel and 150munitions for their Grenades, they are also really easy to dodge. The Animation is really obvious, where as Rifle nades have no fuse and an animation that is hard to spot if behind a tall piece of cover like a hay stack, and the animation bugs out so much anyway.
Even if Grenadiers are as weak as you make out. Isn't that working as intended? Why should a faction that has the best Support Weapons and Tanks also have the best infantry. Shouldn't USF, with paper thin tanks have the best infantry? |

It's closer to C&C Generals than it is to CoH 2. But saying that is insulting to C&C Generals. Where Generals has a straight forward and intuitive economy, Act of Aggression is a jumbled mess of a game. Where Generals has an interesting mix of units which require a solid combination and has (somewhat) solid balance, Act of Aggression is spam tanks to win. It has no micro in it, it has none of the dodging and weaving C&C has.
Comparing it to CoH or C&C is just plain wrong.

Act of Aggression is completely nothing like Coh2. It has basically 0 micro or tactics. It's just a game of tank spamming with a completely convoluted economy. |

Or rather then bringing up moderately good artilery with blatantly overpowered artillery how about we bring everything in line with each other at a moderate level including completely awful stuff like Major Barrage. |
