Because balance, the field timing of M20 is already crazy fast, MP cost is its only reasonable cost. |
You should really do the research before making assumptions. Here is an article from 2013 that shows with graphs(inflation considered) the decline in cost of both disc and cartridge games.
Well, maybe it happened in US, but never in Asia.
100 bucks for a cartilage console was way too crazy. |
No, they were even more expensive. I don't know how long you have been around the industry, but games used to cost 80-$100 in retail, not the $60 of today. Games on PC today are cheaper than ever, and with the rise of DLC content, and the fall of "expansion packs", addons are now priced around the 10-$20 range.
Making games IS getting more expensive. What MOST developers do to compensate this rise in cost, is to not take risks with new IP's and to make smaller packets of addon content which takes less dev time. Relic is trying to keep the old-school system of expansion packs, but the problem here is AA doesn't contain the content that justifies it.
From 80s, I never saw a PC game or console game selling more 60 bucks (USD), you sure you weren't ripped off or scammed? |
Agree with Rockstar, somewhat with Nintendo, but Kojima though...is succumbing to the greed.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for $40-30! For a 2 hour stealth mission! For shame Kojima.
As for AA, not worth it. Missions are too boring overall and some are way too long and others too short.
Dunno GZ is that expensive, I got it with my PS4 with only a few bucks. |
I hate it when every game developer did their work in this way.
Relic did their job exactly as this picture have shown.
Kojima (Metal Gear), Rockstar (GTA), Nintendo could be the only game industry still having conscience, making good games but not raping gamers' wallet. |
If the price is too high, dont buy it. Steam has great deals. If you bought it and didnt like it, learn. Are you looking for a triple A game? $40 bucks is much for a single player addon, but really what did you expect? This community is toxic.
If the community defines criticising being known as "toxic", that community is truly toxic.
What should I expect worthing 40 bucks?
Opposing Front gave us two excellent campaigns, two additional factions (shitty balance at launch though), yet it costed less than 40 bucks. |
hmmm I've payed 25 Euro and I'm perfectly satisfied IMO. This was the first time, that I played a coh2 single player campaign. Maybe a little bit too short but I guess we will see antoher campaign with the OKW.
If you played the Panzer Elite campaign of the first game, you may want to throw coins of 25 Euro in Relic dev face. |
Asymmetrical balance means different factions have different means to deal with opponents, not weaker. This argument of yours is extremely popular within axis player lobby as they are the ones ending up with superior equipment, which isn't really justified enough by cost or performance difference.
Wehr shrecks cost 120mun, USF zookas too, its not asymmetrical balance, its bad balance.
I find your "asymmetrical balance" excuse only using in Allies' favour. |
Mobile demo charge, 120 mu 10 fuel. Very low health. Can cloack in cover. Gets killed by mines. I think it would work.
Why on Earth a remote toy car with bomb required same fuel cost as the armored car 222? |
