That's less bad than costing 10 ammo, but why have it in the first place? If you make a mistake and run over a mine or get fausted you should not have an easy way out. That will penalize the the other player. |
USF crew repair is a unique feature that comes with its set of strengths and weakness, but the repair critical feature is such bs. For 10 ammo you can repair the engine instantly and go on business as usual. This is such an abusive feature.
For example, early in the game you manage to faust a jeep but are forced to retreat your gren unit. In normal cases you can send your next unit to catch it, but instead the crew just pops out and fixes the engine critical and moves on. Very unfair situation especially so early in the game.
Another example is on large maps where you place mines to cover your flank. USF player can easily move around with no regard to mines. If he hits a distant mine he can easily repair the engine quickly and get out.
This feature should not be available, or at least should not be available except for the armor commander. It can be placed instead of the Elite Vehicle Crews Upgrade and made available at cp2 for example. |
dude, never go assault grens, they are just useless, always. Get 3 grens, 2 MG's, scoutcar, later maybe 2 PG's and pak, wait when you reach 6 CP and use easy gg button - Stug E, USA have no chance against this

People struggling against the USF, especially the rifle commander, will love this game. It shows how to counter infantry spam with an overwhelming number of combined infantry units. Key in this game are engineers with flamers and assault grens. Without them it would have been very difficult to swiftly win many engagements.

I don't play OKW, but play against them 1v1 and 2v2 often as soviet. They have all the vehicles they need available readily. For example, you can get ht in 6 min or puma in 7 min.
From what I have seen, the main problem for OKW is the m3 scout car. OKW has no early counter for it and it can cause allot of loss of territory and resources in the early game, but in a sense a soviet players needs it because they have no early counter to sturmpioneers. |
Is abandon vehicle occurring more often in the game after the last patch? It used to happen every few other games, now it seems its happening every game and sometimes multiple times in the same game! Have you noticed an increase? |
I'd like to have conscripts scale somewhat into late game. After 10 minutes or so, they exist just to throw molotovs and AT nades. Giving conscripts a non-doctrine weapon upgrade or two might also lessen the amount of maxim spam in the game. Maybe tie it in with the rifle command building or T3/T4.
It doesn't have to be the same weapon the Guards get. I know M1919s on paras are better than Riflemen. Vetted LMG Grens, Fusiiliers and Obersoldaten generally melt these guys without taking a scratch. They wouldn't be able to compete 1v1 with these units, but at least they'd put up a fight.
That is normal because late in the game most of the action moves to vehicles and tanks, so most infantry (both grens and cons) play the smaller role of capping and supporting armor. Keep in mind also that cons (compared to grens) are very good early in the game. It would not be fair to make them better later in the game. |
