Thread: Soviet Sniper Fixed ?2 Sep 2013, 22:37 PM The German sniper is not meant to be a counter to the Russian sniper so I wish people would stop comparing them that way. It's like talking about a Pak fighting a ZiS in a vacuum or something equally silly. It's pretty much fine as is. Soviet snipers are a committed build path. German sniper is something you can add in on the fly to your regular build order if you want to. Use the 222 scout car and mortars vs Soviet snipers. Thread: Relic should see this2 Sep 2013, 01:10 AM I definitely find playing Germans quite relaxing compared to Soviets. Gren LMG + MG42 provides a very simple and powerful opening. Part of the problem is map related - chokepoints and buildings - though. Let's see what next patch brings. In: COH2 Balance

Its a factor of damage done (or received), not the cost of the killed unit. Actually, vet is based on damage done/received as well as xp based on scoring a kill, which seems to be based on cost of the unit. This isn't very transparent on Relic's part but you can clearly see it when, for example, snipers vet up quicker by killing enemy snipers instead of just ordinary infantry. What do you mean 2v2 is unplayable for soviets? You mean, for you personally you're mostly losing with them? Cause that isn't the case or experience of other players - this should be obvious looking at the ladder no? It's funny how people project their own personal game experience and failings onto the entire game sometimes...I think 2v2 is the most enjoyable for Soviets as they can use all 4 buildings quite easily and try build orders that might be more likely to fail on their own in 1v1. It's a better anti-tank choice - just have to use it more defensively due to the lack of a rotational turret. With the recent buffs to the T-34 I think it makes the Stug a better choice over the Panzer vs T3 Soviets. In: COH2 Balance

Obviously you can't use it alone vs. an SU-85 but considering the timing and costs, that's not surprising. Lately more and more Soviet players have been choosing Tier3 over Tier4 as well in my experience. In: COH2 Balance
