Offtopic @ The Dave - look harder - there are good replays of German sniper usage - two recent ones at gr.org for example with VindicareX and Symbiosis. Probably more but those two were really good. |
Micro maniacs? CoH2 is not a very APM/micro intensive game compared to others to start with so making sure your engineers are doing what you want them to do doesn't take much effort. I haven't really noticed a bug where they stop repairing for some reason - if it's there I'd be happy to see it fixed though. |
So funny...you are terrible at the game and so you blame Relic?? Get real... |
CP gain is dependent on what stuff you kill/lose. If the Soviet was ahead, it's because of greater damage done/received at whatever point you were looking. |
No offense but you're ranked #89000+ in 3v3 - I don't think balance is the primary cause of losses here. I'll watch the replay but at that level you've still really really got lots to improve on still. |
I feel like good management of your pios/engineers is part of the skillset of the game - if the repair failed, you didn't control the units properly. The micro requirements aren't so high that we have to make it easier with more auto-behaviours. It's good to have things to improve on. Use S to make sure the vehicle has stopped and isn't pushing the repair units out of the way - happens a lot with damaged engine vehicles. |
OK - makes sense - guess I'd gapped out on a final shot hastening their explosion. I hadn't noticed this much in CoH2 at all before today tbh - but 3 shots definitely caught my attention. |
I don't recall if vCoH had this or if it got patched out. Fairly sure DoW2 did not have it. But destroyed vehicles that are out of control should not be able to still fire imo. I guess it is once again another RNG element that adds some "excitement" for viewers but it's pretty silly to randomly have a dead vehicle going OOC still kill stuff. A T34 today got 3 penetrating shots off before the OOC exploded...made me think I hadn't actually killed it after all. |
@OP - you sound frustrated. First thing is, like people said - play 1v1 and 2v2 to get a better understanding of the game. Soviets have many tools to win with. Snipers, Guard, SU-85, 120mm mortars, KV-8s all have a large impact on the game and win games for you. Please don't blame balance first - look at your skill level and understanding of the game first. |
My only complaint about SU-85 still is its effect on infantry - it has way more infantry killing accuracy than something like the M10 from vCoH and the knockback effect as well makes using Gren faust/PG Shrek difficult against anyone who can find the reverse key. People use them to counter MG42s even. If their accuracy vs. infantry was reduced (they'd still have crush) I think they'd be pretty balanced. |
