many bulletin are useless, like 3% reduce ammunition, 5% sight range for a arty unit. |
I don't know what's worse the balance in COH2 or the fucking idiots who want it to be a WW2 simulator.
Any mods here? |

One acronym: PPSH
One acronym: PPSH, doctrinal, and another acronym:those doctrine have no late-game. |
There are two units that characterize the soviet army in world war 2. There are conscripts, and there is the T34. Just like the conscript is the core of the infantry, so too is the T34 the core of the armor. The defining selling point in this game for me is when I saw T34s in a trailer.
After thinking about it for awhile now and playing many games, honestly, I don't like the Panzer4 T34 design as it is now. They should not be so asymmetric as to avoid fighting one another. They should be more or less equivalent tanks. No other way will you encourage the great tank battles that characterized the eastern front so well. If the price needs to be changed to account for this that's ok.
Early in the war, Zealous and inexperienced soviet tank commanders used their tank to ram the enemy on very rare occasions, but this was never the primary go to way to fight a battle.
Here's my suggestion:
-Make the t34 and the Panzer4 rough equivalents just as the conscript and grenadier squads are now.
-Make ram a vet1 ability or
-Add a purchasable upgrade from the Tier3 building called "Remove Speed Governor" costing 200mp and 40 fuel which unlocks the ramming ability for t34s. Alternatively, this could be a per unit munitions cost.
-Allow Germans to purchase an 'upgun' ability to change their Panzer 4s main gun to a high velocity long barreled anti-tank gun costing 200 manpower and 40 fuel. Much like the Sherman upgrade from coh1. Alternatively, this could be a per unit munitions cost.
T-34s, as they are now are some kind of strange warped version as what they were historically. The t34 was an essential and widely used component of nearly every soviet formation from the beginning of the war to its end.
Spamming SU-85, sniper and guards does a pretty good job of winning. Do we want to encourage that though? Don't you want to see more variety in units? It's not just about winning, it's about playing a quality game.
Fair point~
as for the reich eagle, its name explains all |
Which is why i suggested making them a single call in. if there were the case though i can see it becomming the best comander imo, 120 mm mortar, go t1/t2 to t4, su 85 first t34 /85 secound. very very powerfull
and rise the Pen of both T-34/76 and T-34/85, the 110 pen of T-34/85 can do no harm to anything bigger than a PZIV..... ok, don't want to mention the POS-34 |
That is not true i dont think UGBEAR, it may need more testing but in the rare occasions i call one of those bad boys in (mianly in 2v2s and up, if they go 1v1 with a p4 they tend to win and after the p4 inf nerf and the 85 inf buff they are pretty good atkilling inf too
the 2 package means your opponent will have at least 2 PZIV vs 2 T-34/85, and, you are arrive pretty late for that costs and CP |
The problem with T-34/85 is low ROF and crappy penetration, more expensive than a PZIV but stands no chance against it |
while make armor call-in require build T3 or T4 |
Listen, here is your problem. YOUR interpretation of a game trailer does not equal what the company was trying to accomplish. If they made you feel all patriotic and that you were about to dive into a history lesson then that is YOUR opinion / take on what you were going to receive.
I look at it as a story, you have a problem in the inability to perceive it this way and look at it as some sort of backwards history. I'm from the US, I wouldn't give two shits if I saw a civil war game with cowboys and aliens eating cornbread while the whole country started nuking each other. Is that historically inaccurate? Yes, but I wouldn't go on an internet forum just to smack talk the developers.
They made a game, if I don't like it I will not play it, it's as simple as that. Your Internet warrior attitude will likely not change a single persons perspective on this board. Most of the people who belong to coh2.org belong to this website because they love the game and the series. So my question for you is: WHY are you here? Because from my perspective it seems to just cause trouble. I'm an open minded guy but you've provided me with nothing to go off other than "You just don't get it".
but you already pay for it right? |
