Some of those players shouldn't be on that list but Darealslim would probably beat you within 15 minutes every time in vcoh or CoH2 too for that matter if the skill cap was just as high.
PS: I remember one time I played Andy in CoH1 in my first or second game in like 3 months and it took him an hour to beat me, on the shittiest map in the game, and he had no units left but won only because VPs were so far apart on shit map I couldn't hold them and then he was so overjoyed he went and prideposted it.
I'm just not sure that is what it is. For me, I was a level 16 player 2v2 and basic matches most factions (bfd, I know) but I'm not that great 1v1 or 2v2 COH2 at all. Is it a matter of Company of heroes skill that is transferable to COH2? I'm not sure that is what it is at all. Are you any good at COH2? I think it is that the game mechanics are different. Capping is different, pathing is different, a lot is different. Certainly the goal seemed to be for COH2 to stand on its own and be its own game while trying to remain true to the original franchise, which they have fallen a little short of.
I just think a blanket saying of "so and so was top ten vCOH player and is not playing COH2 because of low skill ceiling..." is a little off. If it is such a low skill ceiling, the awesome players of yore should easily beat the players new to the franchise...Can they? Apparently not, because we get these butt-hurt comments that stem from players being, well, not very good at the current game.
But of course, I'd also like the franchise to succeed.
