hey that's cool, my dad plays the original COH as well. I think he's been practicing COH2 but keeping it a secret, probably so he can stream snipe me Kappa. |
Woah, what a PR nightmare. |

Well, at least it gives your life meaning, TheArtistKnownAsDouche. Since the banning, you'll have to find new people to hate |
Even better live, with singing from BARTON. |
Don't lose entire units, control the fuel, and keep your units moving...and keep playing. |
To be clear we have always suspended people for griefing.
LOL, hard to quantify "griefing" for certain.
Further I just watched a cast where the player in question claimed to have hacked the game in order to control who he matches up against.
Well, I would certainly love to see that cast and hear it for myself. I honestly think you are confused on what stream sniping really is. It goes like this: One player waits until the other player hits the search function in game. (while watching his stream on Twitch) You, at the same time, also hit search, in hopes you meet him for a game. That's 'the hack'...nothing more, nothing less.
Anyone hacking the game to affect multiplayer play is banned immediately. He initially only had a 2 week suspension, since I did not hear him claim this first hand, but I have heard him now so we're reviewing what to do with his account.
It seems to me like you are grasping at straws to find a reason why (besides being friends with the other person, 'in question') why you brought the ban hammer in. Using un-quantifiable terms like "griefing" and throwing phrases like "he could be HACKING booga booga" around confuses everything. Since 'the other person in question' is a friend of yours, I'm wondering if another unbiased party can see this "cast" where VonIvan says he has hacked the game to such a point as to control how automatch works?

Yep, all true. Hans has never once bad mouthed the game, another player, a team mate, the map, or whatever unit is beating his unit. Oh wait, he routinely does all of that when he streams. Who here has never seen Hans blow a gasket on stream, raise your hand.
*crickets*
That's what I thought.
It is clear to everyone who is objective in the matter, Hans just doesn't like to lose on stream, as it is 'embarrassing'. Look what happened when he played Barton in the tourney. Hans said he was being stream sniped by Barton when EVERYONE KNOWS Hans had a 5 minute delay. Hans got beat two straight games, and Barton said, 'play tutorial" which he says TO EVERYONE, even his clan mates (like me)...So COH2 community, you have been warned. If you beat Hans, be prepared for a little, "time out". No Kappa, No mvgame. :/ |
Can you even blame him Barton? Others in your clan stream snipe him on a daily basis so it's no wonder he's always suspicious of yourself.
Sure, being suspicious is good, and that's why Hans had a five minute delay on his stream during the tournament. So when Hans says in an official complaint that Barton could have had a second monitor to watch his streams, how would that have helped when there was five minute delay? Anyway, I watched the game from both perspectives, and Hans was outplayed. Personally, I don't think Hans can beat Barton. |
Hans had a 5 minute delay on his tourney stream, so stream sniping is a moot point. Is that an outright lie from Hans? He knows Barton had no advantage with the the delay.
"Play tutorial" is abusive? LOL, i would have been embarrassed to type such a thing in a official complaint. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Hans has been doing a lot of complaining lately. Truthfully, Hans is a good player and he wins a large amount of games. That's cool, he is invested in his stream, and is now an integral part of COH2 and specifically COH2.org. Good enough. However, I have been watching Hans lately and as soon as he loses, he blames everything from the map, his hot keys, his units not responding when they are supposed to, the game being boring, all the way to the other player, etc ad nauseam. Why? because he loses. That's also fine, it is his stream.
Hans is being held up as player we should emulate. Look at the official forums and Facebook. The Dev's or whoever have promoted him and his streams on several occasions... really?? In the most recent tourney Hans lost two games to Barton. The "trolling" was minimal. Everyone knows Barton, his "trolling" isn't malicious, and he doesn't mean anything by it. It goes back to the wider point of Hans's reaction to not winning. His scorched earth lashing out is getting old tbh.
Personally, I think Stephen is a more mild mannered and fun streamer to watch who almost never gets mad over a kid's game. So perhaps Hans isn't the best role model that should be held up in such high esteem because at the end of the day, he's just another player who happens to be on a little friendlier terms with "the powers that be" but rarely do I see anyone act in such a negative manner as Hans when they lose.
People are starting to notice, and the bias is showing.
Be seeing you,
~Josh
