If you are learning OST just work on going MG>Gren>Gren>Gren>Pgren>222>PAK40.
That basic opener will give you the tools to fight every composition providing you are microing correctly. What level are you playing at?
I am rank 9 currently, im higher as allies. And appreciate it thanks. I feel like USF is the biggest challenge for me. Especially armoured company. The engineers fuck so hard. Their tanks are cheap |
Since i am constantly being flanked. Is a good build order
MG>MG>Ostupeen>Ostruppen>Tech>PGren ?
MGs can cover eachothers flanks, ostruppen can cap? Recently i've just been building the standard vanilla MG>Gren>Gren>Gren
My biggest issue is countering USF Engineers and the 5 minute mark stuart, since my PAK isn't even out by then |
I am kinda mad at the moment with my last game.
I have played COH2 for a few years, never delved into OST. So for the past couple of months, I've been playing OST 1v1's. And I love it until I started fighting the USF.
I can't for the life of me play against them without stressing out. The amount of pressure they put on is too much.
I was fighting against Armoured Company, I was using Elite Troops. Nothing I was doing was working
My infantry would falter against riflemen. My MG42 did well, but it's not hard to outflank and MG.
My Tanks were doing great, up until he started spam building his tanks.
I can't counter the Stuart that comes out within 5 minutes of the game, at the point i can't even build my PAK 40. So the stuart justs absolutely minces everything.
The engineers are absolutely disgusting, especially with the flamer.
I have a replay and i'd really like someone to tell me where i went wrong. I felt like my micro was on point (Up until the end where i was tired and fatigued). It felt like whatever i was doing was never enough. I'd kill a tank, and 2 more would take its place.
Kinda mad that i can't effectively fight USF. I am using Meta commanders and build orders and it's still doing nothing.
Thanks, Jay |
Hi,
A friend of mine was banned for maybe having an offensive profile picture, Steam name and for using racist language in 1 instance in-game. Can people really get banned for the first 2 offenses?
Is there any way to figure out for how long he is banned? He would really like to know. Right now, we don't know the particular offense he was banned for.
I, personally, don't like it when companies force political correctness and a progressive agenda on their customers, even when these customers operate completely within the law, but that's just my opinion and I don't want to argue with the moderators.
Kind regards and thanks in advance
I mean even your name is "Jew Hunter". That could probably get you banned |

You can play Cons against Assgrens. But it takes skill and patience.
The plan is to keep your cons at distance for as long as possible. And just as the Ass-Grens close the line, you retreat. This is so you don't lose modles and you do damage. When you retreat the Con, have another conscript further back and do the same thing.
When you can, try get SVT upgrades for your Cons. Don't forget to build green cover on all relevant points. Try to barbwire off the cover or build mines on the opposite side to deny.
If you go 4 conscripts have 2 one side of the map and 2 on the other supporting eachother, you should be fine. Just make sure they cover eachother at different distances. And again, once the grens get close RETREAT.
Further more, upgrade your engineer with a flamer. Whilst your cons are taking rounds, burn the assholes alive.
Shocktroops work amazingly well against Assgrens, so long as you have a con or engineer for support.
If your enemy is blobbing, then just leave the engagement and cap othersides of the map. Use mines and demolition charges to cause bleed.
Once your T70 comes out you can open season enemy infantry without any fear of being fausted |

Falls are pretty great
If you want to counter them, i'd with with Shock troops.
But...
4 conscripts with SVTs will shread. And even if you lose models, it will cost them more. |
Hello there, i am an exlusive soviet main, and this is one of my openers. Con>Con>Con>Molly>Medic>Con (add SVTs when availible). If anything sounds patronizing, just know, it's not.
I am not an Axis player by any means, but this is just my take.
1. Build mines in strategic positions, even though we can see the S-mines, it will still deter us from going until we can get a mine sweeper, even then just get an MG-42 to cover your mines. Also get Anti vehicle mines to counter the T-70 that WILL always come. Players nearly always get too cocky with the T-70 and try to get retreating squad wipes, use that to your advantage.
2. Utilizing CQC troops and Ambush tactics - I think Storm Troopers would be amazing for this, especially since they get camoflage and "Hold fire". Set them somewhere smart, as the cons advance, rip them apart CQC with a set of grens firing.
3. Fight smart engagements. If you are being attacked with more you can handle, leave the fight, and cap one of his points. Soviets have pretty bad MGs, therefore you won't really need to worry about an entrenched MG.
4. Snipers can counter support weapons. Or again, set some troops up in a flanking position to attack the ZIS gun. You should be able to see the ZIS gun before you lose your vehicle. Send infantry first to scout, if it seems clear then advance light vehicles. Your 222's take 2 shots to kill anyway. By the time he gets that 1st shot off you should be able to engage with infantry. Don't forget to leave infantry as a barrier between your LV, Cons like to "OOHRAH" and AT nade.
I think if played properly, OKW MP40 Volks would do well, especially with the whole "Sprint".
As a soviet player i can admit that the Soviets are strong. But i don't think it was the SVT-Cons that makes it so.
The T-70 is the soviets crutch unit. And Penals are still amazing, especially if you add a shock troop into the mix.

Soviets, at present, simply don't have a weak point where they are vulnerable. Early game? Cons will dominate because you can mass them. Alternatively, Penals dominate Grens and early Volks.
If that fails, call out elite infantry like guards that counter light vehicles on top of dominating other infantry.
Then they get the single greatest power spike in the game in the form of the T70. No other vehicle has this big of an impact when it arrives on the field.
Finally, we have the IS2 which is a better, cheaper and more accessible KT.
The selling point of the conscript is the option to "mass" your forces.
Conscript are cheap and disposeable infantry. Early game conscripts are pretty shit, missing many shots. I am a pure Soviet player, it's my main, not for any "Meta" reasons but because i enjoy it from a gameplay perspective.
Looking at it from your perspective of someone massing 3 conscripts against your outnumbered force. I would just not fight that battle. Can't you choose your battles better?
If someone is massing forces on 1 point, then clearly they are leaving other points absolutely undefended, which means you can go and cap. Mines should counter the T-70 if you place them correctly, and your Panzer 2 should counter all infantry if used properly.
Again, i don't play Axis, never have. |
