I still have 3 snipers, ready to counternsipe. Sure, its a little inconvenient, but it doesn't degrade the sniper spam. With that in mind, a flanking sniper can render two of the three useless by being out of their range, since they cannot occupy such a small space. And for those that choose to be lazy and blob, they will find their snipers far more vulnerable than if they had invested the proper amount of micro into positioning. In: COH Central

Every sniper shot affecting the other nearby sniper's timer to recloak would leave very vulnerable snipers for bikes and jeeps (or anything). In: COH Central

Hence, a sniper right next to a firing sniper would still be considered to have taken a shot (and momentarily uncloaked as well.) And if that first sniper then takes a shot, both are further penalized from re-cloaking in a timely fashion to avoid a counter snipe? In: COH Central

Thread: Community28 Nov 2013, 16:23 PM We're running two betas right now for CoH 2, one for DLC and one for balance. The people in that get a chance to give feedback direct to the balance team, or the designers creating the DLC. I think BC is looking for more beta testers for the balance beta, and that thread is on our official forums. Doesn't that seem problematic though? Having two concurrent beta tests? How can either make or release a change without completely undoing the work of the other team? I mean, how can DLC be balanced or DLC implemented in a balanced fashion if they're exclusive of each other? I really don't aim to criticize, I'm just very curious about the logic behind the method. I feel like this is exactly the example of why the community (At least here on this site) has been so frustrated by both the balance and the DLC of this game. In: Lobby

Thread: Dear developers! What is going on with CoH?26 Nov 2013, 01:21 AM Keep in mind CoHO had to compete with vCoH for players, as there was no CoH2 at the time. What it did most of all was give vCoH a much needed infusion of new, interested players, especially at a time when a patch to release version 2.601 seemed bleak. As much of a fail as CoHO was in and of itself, I think it achieved a pretty good goal: bringing renewed interest to the franchise. I had played vCoH for a while when I first tried out CoHO. I thought it was laughably non-competitive, but I really enjoyed the prospect of having 3v3 and 4v4 automatches. I played both vCoH and CoHO in those capacities extensively. A highly modified 'competitive multiplayer' mode with ladders, official tournaments, etc, perhaps costing funds, suits the RTS world well. A free, non competitive version to appeal to the masses, get them interested, and perhaps get them watching others players. Players in a non-free, competitive, possibly even modified, mode showcasing their skills to hopefully in turn drive further and more widespread interest in the game. In: Lobby
