Yeah of course T70 will keep showing up, the T70 is the equivalent on infantry in this doctrine.
My god, are we actually at the point were we accept T70's as being equivilant to Infantry? This isn't a dig at you buddy but it really shows the balance of the game when we accept T70s as being so disposable. It's just fundementally wrong such a powerful shock unit has no risk associated with it. "Oh look I lost my T70, let's builder another" or "Oh look my T70 has caused game winning damage, better build another to seal the deal" are the only two situations you really have. |
The problem with Soviet Industry is how ludicrously fast you can pull a T70 out when they were barely balanced in the first place. With the Veterancy changes Vet 2 AC's can no longer compete at all with T70s (Were as before they could to a certain extent).
The problem you have is T70s don't have any hard counters when they come out, can you imagine if they buffed the PE AC to having the same armour values as the T70, and made it one shot kill infantry? You have to rely on a tellar mine to deal with them however you sacrifice your most precious resource as Osteer. Not to mention good soviet players just pull a sweeper out or just build a 2nd T70 thirty seconds later.
I dare say you can now pull a T70 out as fast as an Osteer player gets 120 Munitions. Do you go two tellars or shrecks? Either way no munitions for faust (If you could ever get in range). |
Increase the CP cost of both Tiger Ace & Soviet Industry, would solve some major balance problems very fast. |
This might be a stupid suggestion, but.
Is there anyway you can increase the rate of fire of a Osteer sniper when its closer to a target? This would potentially give it the ability to camouflage up toward a soviet sniper and then pop them both if one retreats after the first dies. As of current Osteer sniper takes a shot then has to back out whilst the Soviet reinforces. |
Neither of those videos show good flanking or movement of squads. I mean serously two Conscripts vs Grenadier + MG42 + Unknown unit and your expecting to win?
How about rushing two Conscripts from the exact same side to deal with an MG42? Clever. Let's not buff Molotovs they hurt enough when people use them correctly. |
I've heard the Pioneer discuss a flamethrower, michael, an ass and a molotov. Still haven't heard it a second time but it had me laughing when I started guessing what they said. |
I play mostly 1v1 and 2v2, but read Joshua9 reply he answers everything for you.
All I will tell you is that t70 is an op unit much like the mg42, 222, SU 85 are op units that turn the game upside once they show up and its not because of field repair, which is not even functioning properly now.
Your really not helping your cause.
If you seriously think the arrival of a T70 is similar to the arrival of a MG42 your truly not in a position to talk about any form of balance.
Games don't end when an MG42 pins your two Conscript squads you sent into the same arc. Games end when a T70 roll over several squads and you lose near 1000 manpower. I can't recall having a game ended when a 222 rolled into my base and one shotted all my Infantry - because it never happens. |
I don't think you use T70, because if you did you would know that they get destroyed by Pak (2 hits), 222 (1-3 runs), and or PG with shreks (3 hits), so you don't need to tech to destroy it. In fact, any T70 hit with panzerfaust near a 222 is pretty much dead.
I'm sorry, do you only play 3v3/4v4?
Yes Pak's two shot T70s (If they hit) but you can rush a pak and deman it after one shot or back out after getting hit once. Not to mention a pak costs 360 Manpower compared to the 160 of the T70. If you lose a T70 to a AC you need to pursue it for longer as the AC has a burst weapon and the T70 has consistent damage per second with a set reload time. Losing a T70 to shrecks, are you freaking seriously? If you ever lost a T70 to shrecks I suggest you go back to the single player game and learn how to micro your god damn vehicles. |
Dear Abdhul
Perhaps you should put the unit into context. 160MP / 55 Fuel for the best anti infantry unit in the game, for it's cost. The only way of out right killing one is outteching it or playing a stellar mine with the very little munitions Osteer get to play with in the early game.
Let's not pretend it should ever of had self repair in the god damn first place, I'm all for doctrinal abilities but not global "Oh i fucked up let's play my get of jail free card". If you get your T70 fausted you DESERVE to lose it. The T70 has like twice the effective range as a panzerfaust, all you need is a tiny amount of brainpower to kite a grenadier until it's dead. |
I'm just picturing crying babies when your poor T70 that you LET get panzerfaust isn't fully repaired by a 60 Munition ability that ISN'T doctrinal. You can't be god damn serious if you think on a scale of balance this is remotely a problem. T70 outranges panzerfausts massively, don't let it get hit. Osteer don't get a self repair on the Ostwind when it gets AT naded! |
