Thread: Company of heroes 1>COH2?3 Jul 2014, 12:34 PM I was a huge fan of CoH1 but still CoH2 has the edge. I think the nostalgic people (eg me) like CoH2 a lot but are annoyed that the game didn't improve on everything from CoH1 and had some features that were worse. (BLIZZARDS WTF MY EYYYESSS!) But what is definitely superior: True Sight More soft counters - eg no More PE Ac rush / M8 rush. Rushes in general are less effective in CoH2 and I love that. So it's not dependant on UEBER FAST CLICKETY CLICK. Even if you rush a fast light vehicle, it won't be able to rinse everything for 5 minutes (although units like M3, flamer HT did used to do this) Pathing sucks balls though, MGs don't supress blobs as well, maps are a bit cramped. The majority of things are superior in CoH2 but they can still improve it using idea from CoH1. In: Lobby

"Ermahgerd, how dare you, omg OP!" Stop getting so irate about everything. Every post you make is "GOD JUST LOOK AT THIS ABUSIVE SPAMMER GUY UGHHH GOD I HATE IT GAWWWDDD". It's like noise for my eyes every time you appear on the forum. If you played as OKW more vs soviets you would see how easy it can be as Soviets to spam-blob and beat an OKW player. For every 1 player who complains that OKW > Sov there are 9 players complaining that Sov > OKW. What does this tell you? Well done for spamming super tanks against the faction that cannot spam tanks and whose heaviest standard AT gun is a panzershrek on wheels. In: Replays

However, it can be used on any target. It's 45 ammo and takes like 2 seconds to aim. When used on a garrison, the shot will take out all units inside the building with a 100% success rate unless the enemy leaves the building before the shots lands. So like cannister shot from M8? Squad-wiping special ability yay! It's likely that the Puma shot is an error, I say remove them both. SUDDEN-DEATH abilities on mid-game units are not good. In: COH2 Gameplay

Like Barton and some other top players do, they prove it's true. However I don't think this guy was saying it "owns hard". He's saying that the simplicity of the faction makes it boring and frustrating to play against. Next time you run into 5 MGs with artillery-AT guns, think to yourself "Is this fun?" In: COH2 Gameplay

With volley fire nerfed what is primary role of this shity unit now ? Very cheap repair/capping unit. It's great to have a throwaway unit you can use for harrassing If all units are expensive like with OKW, it's harder to harrass the enemy. I hope you will give me the benefit of the doubt The reason it was possible to get 5 ISUs was because the game was a long stalemate slugfest. You can't walk into an ISU so you are forced to give them lots of time to field several each. He had no inf really so lots of popcap. At point of ISU hitting field I had: Sturmpio vet3 2x Volks vet3/4 2x Obersoldaten vet2 Panzer fusiliers vet4 Sturmoffizier Inf gun vet 4 Panther vet1 Stolen Mortar Stolen AT gun Stolen Maxim 70% map control. I had lost no units and we had killed several full squads of theirs. (I have this replay I think. Unfortunately it's full of insults from both sides, so if someone wants to check, I can send it by PM, I'd rather not post it.) Within 5 minutes 3 of those squads were wiped by the ISU. I flanked with Panther, got caught by mines, retreated panther and repaired, tried to flank again - New ISU appeared. Retreated Panther, got away, repaired (now vet2) waited for Sturmtiger, attacked with Panther from right sight, while attack with sturmtiger from the front. Panther died, Panzerfusiliers died trying to use AT grenade for engine crit, volks both died trying to use hreks - all one-shotted. I killed one ISU and his teammate had already built 2 more. Thread: ISU Post Patch2 Jul 2014, 10:15 AM Jagdtiger is definitely a great hardcounter to an ISU, no doubt about it. I just don't want to have to choose Jagtiger doc every time. I called a Jagdtiger in the match I had before this post. The other teams called in 5 ISUs, one-shotted all my vet4-5 infantry then capped with new conscripts. Even after the ISU nerf, I've seen it in 8/10 matches in 2v2 vs a soviet player. Maybe I'm unlucky. In: COH2 Balance
