Very much agree with you on emplacements spoiling coh. Sure they can be countered but what gameplay are we left with? Angry birds vs angry birds... Highly-durable, unflankable area-denial units that can suddenly gain an almost impenetrable shield mean; no harassing no flanking static and stale playstyle. For me, and I'm sure for many others, CoH is about mobile, dynamic play, surprising your opponent, unexpected flanks and maneuvers. I wish CoH wasn't about slowly whittling down the health of emplacements (or 6 maxims). Keep hating on it and keep casting! In: COH2 Shoutcasts

It's just a pity "we" didn't include Relic. +1 and also a pity that "we" doesn't include the community members saying "lol, just adapt, build leigs, stop being salty." Static artillery vs artillery games are boring. Emplacements make games boring. Yes, they can be countered. But oh my god, they're so boring. Maxim lockdown after a few minutes, painful uphill struggle vs 5 maxims and mines everywhere. No examples of exciting or interesting tactics from shadowada, just a-move maxim, take the house, maxim, maxim, more mines, maxim maxim eggs and maxim. I'm not saying he deserved to lose. Doesn't need micro, besides repairs. Much fun, very tactics. ResidentSleeper +1! Yes, it's so boring. Mortars can be countered, it's true. But the cost is fun. I don't want to sit with 2/3 Leigs and an MG wall to protect them while I try to hit mortar pits sat behind a tree wall. It's not fun at all. Put a bofors jsut behind them and voila, there is now no possibility of capping round the map until the artillery battle is over. Half the joy of coh gone. In: COH2 Balance

I don't see Katyusha causing squadwipes on the first barrage unless maybe point blank. It causes damage and MP loss. There's is no chance of retreat and is uncounterable. That is not the point of this game. Otherwise, B4 would still be in full effect. When you fire katyusha at same range as panzerwerfer = squad wipes. In: COH2 Balance

At least you can move out of the call volley while it rains down you, at least it doesn't suppress forcing you to retreat and lose all your squads because Squad retreat bunching fucks you up. You can't really complain about an early-game indirect fire weapon being wiped by a late-game indirect fire weapon. It'd be like saying "try to move your infantry without the pack howie causing you MP loss" In: COH2 Balance
