I think that the Kubel just has too much armor now. Also, for some reason, they decided to give it the same in both the front and rear.
Why? It has less survivability than the M6a1. Any less armour and it would die almost instantly to small arms.

So I've been using AEC since they added Brits into the game and I can tell it used to be so shitty tak it was almost unusable. Then they buffed it and it looked like a pretty good counter against Luchs, since it could take it out easily and it could also deal with infantry. But it got nerfed in the latest patch that added the Advanced emplacement regiment. So I tried to use it and I can tell that it is almost as shitty as before the buff and all you need to take it out is 1 volk squad with panzershreck. And since it Piats are useless against fast tanks such as Luchs and ATs are useless as well(unless having some serious support) since Luchs can easily flank them on most maps, the AEC is probably the best option to counter the Luchs, but it is really not effective against infantry unlike the Luchs, and that means the AEC is mostly but a waste of 60 fuel now. I personally would bring back its previous main gun profile, which was effective against infantry, but I would remove its mg buff and nerf its range, so it wouldn't snipe off volks or panzergrenadiers from afar and I would nerf its rate of fire by a little bit. I would also nerf its penetration, so it wouldn't be so effective against Pz 4 or Stug. Like that, it still would be good, but not OP. But at this moment, the AEC is a very crappy thing.
You're right that at release it was not good.
Now though, it still does good damage with its MG to inf. And it can handle a Luchs (Luchs can't penetrate it at all). It can even help take out medium tanks like the PIV and Ostwind. To my mind that makes it the best light tank in terms of scaling.
The only thing is it farrrr less often one-shots or two-shots squads. It was too strong before. |

It also has over 2x the armor of stuart too.

and Maxim spam ofc.
First 10-15 minutes we hold both fuels, looks like it's a win. Then come the emplacements.

As undoctrinal counters with Osthern, use smoke barrage from the mortar on the bofors and then rush a Flame ht, then attack ground the emplacement. After kill the bofors move your infantry to keep enemy units away while you finish the mortars with the flame ht , the mortar will still be counterbateried, but will buy enough time to kill the emplacement.
For more safety, pick a doctrine with panzer tactician so you can still save the flame ht if your mortar gets oneshotted. A not so easy but still reliable option to panzer tactician would be the smoke strafe.
Undoctrinally as Oberkomando west, you can force the brace on the bofors with a racketen and then trow grenades over it when the brace is about to finish. ISG are always an option, not the real counter but they will still help to kill emplacements that arent in mortar pit range by autoattacking, with help i dont mean on his own, but will still suport the previous explained tactic.
To help doctrinally, pick that bloody firestorm doctrine and burn those bastards down before they lay eggs. Aswell breakthrough helps a lot if the things go too mad and you need the Jagdtiger to kill everything, always supported by pzfuseliers spotting for it

I don't think it's fun to play against 2x Stug E + 2x PAK40 into tiger. That too is boring and static and does not require a lot of skill to pull of.
I don't like playing a 2v2 against axis where they get a Jagdtiger and a (King)tiger on a narrow map like rails and metal and form an impenetrable deference. That too is static and boring gameplay.
It's stupid that people piss and moan about brits being static and boring when there is already plenty of other static and boring gameplay styles to go around, especially in team games.

If you think 2x Stug E is no fun to play against, tell us why. If you can think of a way to change it which would improve gameplay, suggest it.

Its not a matter of if it is counterable or not, you could have countered the leigs aswell, but would it be fun? No. The point is that you need to work your ass off and suffer the whole game, just to maybe win against it. That is bad design. Nothing more or less.

People just want to steamroll over the British Forces. Before the February commanders, there was no decent British commander; barring Vanguard.
The British weren't the dominant faction in CoH1, nor are they in CoH2. Emplacements are required to keep them in the game.
Have you played any games vs this commander? Could you post a few replays showing that OP is wrong?
Before this commander the response to complaints against emplacements were "learn 2 LeiG, lol". Now the Leig can't damage the emplacements fast enough to kill them and mid-game the counter-barrage from base arty destroys the LeiG.
You clearly have never played vs this commander. It's not fun. Just a long boring game of tennis. Let's say it's not even overpowered, it still reduces the game to a dull slugfest. Surely you don't want that?
Lastly, if the Brits need something to keep them in the game, let's give them something else that's good. Static play is boring.

Not to sound rude but why should the leig beat a more expensive, static emplacement?
Build two leigs, don't clump them together and you will then win.
Tried this recently in 2v2 vs HelpingHans and VonIvan. While we didn't expect to win, we did expect 3 Leigs to take out 1 reinforced bofors.
In 9 minutes of constant firing they did not.
Then Hans got a mortar up so we tried to kill that. 3 Leigs could not do it.
Emplacements make the game static and boring. The new emplacement commander exacerbates that.
